Drilling another air hole in 901?

I'm using black 901's, the single air hole model. I've considered drilling a 2nd hole in the atomizer for more air and hopefully more vapor. Anyone tried this?

I'm not sure that make more vaper.. IMO the amount of vaper you get is from the output of the battery. I think that if you put another hole it will reduce your vapor when you draw. I might be wrong on this and I'm commenting from my own experiance on modes that I have made. I hope this helps

when i used to have a 2 hole atmy (RN4081) i usualy covered one of them with my finger to get more vapor, on the other hand the vibration from the drill probably kill you atmy

If you want more vapor then always use a freshly charged battery or use a passthrough that operates at a higher voltage.

If you decide to drill be careful not to destroy the wires. The negative wire is soldered to the outer edge of the brass base. If you poke the drill bit too far in you may clip the positive wire which is soldered to the center contact of the base.

I have drilled a second hole in a 901. As I recall, the vaper and flavor were only slightly better but it went thru even more juice.
When I drilled the hole I used a press and did not drill any deeper than necessary. I have been thru about 15 901's and only tried it once.

I also drilled a second hole in a 901. I also increased the size of the first hole. These 2 larger holes made a very small difference. I don't think I'll do it again. (difference is too small). The best thing I did was use a PT and Kensington. HUGE difference!

Kensington is even better then USB ports on computer or wall adapter. Kensington is 1500mA, computer is 500mA. It's all about the mA!

I actually tried this with my M401 today and was going to start a thread on it (and I still may). The hole in the M401 carts is 1/16" diameter. I simply incresed the size of the hole by 50% with the use of a 3/32" drill bit. The plastic is soft enough that you don't even need a power drill. I was able to do it by hand. I did notice increase in ease of draw as well as a slightly higher vapor production, which in turn gave me a bit of a head rush. I don't think you could get much better than that. Any larger of a hole would be a waste unless you could increase the air intake somehow.

So maybe rather than adding another hole, simply make the current one bigger. Either way, I did notice a difference. Again, this was with the M401. I'm not familiar with the 901.
