Hi ECF,

I am new to all this. It is my second day of owning a PV and not smoking anologs. So through the 2 days of vaporing I have not had urge for an analog, so I thought I would do an early test of when I know am most vulnerable to smoking cigarettes, when I am enjoying a few beers or drinks.

Not sure why alcohol and cigarettes go together so much, or maybe I do, but I knew this would be a little test on how much I was enjoying vape vs anologs.

My results were what I expected at this point. I had 5 beers and ended up missing my Camel cigarettes. I think this is due to the e-liquid not having enough flavor as much as anything. I couldn't taste the vapor over the beer like I could with Camels.

But anyway, although I expected this somewhat with what e-liquids I have tasted so far, even though I felt I slight urge for a normal cigarette, it wasn't so great that I actually smoked one, which of course is good. But I definately think I need some e-liquid with a stronger flavor to it especially when drinking a few beers.

Thanks for listening to one of my early experiences.

Or have a higher nic strength (with maybe a tobacco flavor if u like those - or STRONG 'other' flavor if you don't - but soemthing that goes with the beer) for those times when your socialising involves alcohol.
You're not going to turn into a saint overnight - if you fall off and grab a smoke, its no biggie, but finding ways around your 'vulnerable' points is always useful.

I found that the first time I drank without cigarettes it was a challenge. I was chain vaping like a SOB. I could usually go thru a pack of cigs or more in a night no problem. Now, like suggested above, I bring along a higher strength mg mix. The beauty of it all is when you finally do drink enough to loose judgement and bum a smoke it only took a few drags to realize how nasty they really taste in comparison to a favorite vape liquid. Made me realize how ...... I would be if I actually did pay for an eliquid that tasted exactly like burning cigarettes. It would be unvapable and in the trash.

I have a few stronger carts. Lower nic but MUCH stronger taste. I've found that the butterscotch V4L is best when I'm snookered, or my stronger menthol. since I smoke/vape a LOT when I'm drinking I also have a few 0nic carts with me. I've found once I'm intoxicated I really just like the look/feel of vaping.

I do homebrew, and consider myself a bit of a beer snob. The one thing I absolutely love is now that I'm vaping, I can taste so much more complexity in my beer.

I know its hard. I still find that after a few, somewhere in the back of my mind that craving for burning tobacco will raise its ugly head. I try to tell myself I care more about the flavor of the beer than the taste of god awful analogs! Like anything else, it will take time and determination to break a deeply entrenched psychological association. But you can do it! (and so can I, I hope)
