Can someone please help me understand the difference between the Drip , cartridge and Caromizer ?
I have the DSE 901 , thinking about getting the Advanced eGO 510 any thoughts on what the eGO is like ?

I want to do all my own refilling and was wondering is there a difference between the DSE 901 and the eGO 510 or the different " cartridges " as far as refilling goes ?

Thanks

One drip... well, typically you would drip about 2-3 drops on a regular 510 atty, which gives me about 6 deep hits. Around 10, if you have smaller draws. If you smoked analogs pretty quickly, then one session of dripping [2-3 drops] would probably be the equivalent of one cigarette, if I had to measure it in comparison.

It would also depend on how much you vape. I'll chain vape sometimes, meaning back-to-back hits for a good 5 minutes or so, then let it cool down and hit it again. Then there are times, I may hit it once in an hour and be good for a while. The one thing you should know about dripping is that you don't wanna flood your atty, but you wanna keep it wet, so that you're not dry burning it, which can burn it out and pop it.

It may take a while to get used to, but dripping is the best method for me, rather than having to fill multiple cartridges and switching them out when I need more juice.

Edit: Forgot to add that you're vaping experience will last as long as your batteries do, which is why I use an eGo...for the longer battery life between charges. If you get a USB/pass-through type of battery, you can practically vape all day while it's plugged in.

I find that the 901 is a smoother hit compared to the 510. The 901 does offer more flavor due to that smoother hit. It is described as a cooler vape. I prefer the 510 for the warmer hit and for me flavor comes through, but seeing as my taste buds are shot it takes a great juice mixer for me to be able to get a true taste from e-liquids-LOL. I have been moving more to the tobacco flavors just because of that fact.
Dripping is when you remove the cartridge that is the mouthpiece and filler/e-liquid holder. You can purchase a drip tip or just remove the filler from your cartridge. Being as you have the 901 you will have to be aware that the hole on the atomizer needs to always be pointed in the up position. If it isn't your e-liquid will leak out from there when you drip. Drip 2-3 drops of e-liquid onto your atomizer mesh, put on the empty cartridge and vape. Depending on how long your puffs/hits are, you should get 4-6 good hits from the pv before needing to drip again. After doing this a few times you will get the hang of it and what the vapor is like and how it taste when you need to drip again. One thing I do advise is to blow the atomizer out at night so the e-liquid doesn't clog in the atomizer at night. This will prolong the life of your atomizer.
Cartomizers-they are an atomizer and cart with filler all rolled up into one piece. You can refill them, but must be aware of not drying them out as this will burn the filler in them. As far as I know you can't put new filler in them either. I am not a big fan, but a lot of members love them!
I do have a video on the Ego and it just hits on some basic pointers on taking care of it and replacing the filler and filling the carts. If you're interested it is here>>>>

I really enjoyed your video. You seem to vape about like I do, with slow draws and not a ton of vapor, but decent vapor non the less. That's the same way I vape most of my juices. With some of my tobacco flavors tho, I get off the button about three seconds into the draw. I get even less vapor but still good flavor and TH. If you use the button as a heat controller, you can make the 510 taste about the same as a lower powered atty. I think a lot of the juices were mixed to taste best at relatively lower tempatures. Again, good video. Vape on. JD :vapor:

In all reality, I take much longer hits off the mods. I know that people do not want to watch you vape on you-tube. It is my understanding from reading feedback on others vids that most want information. So I try to give more info and vape less. But the way to get a good short hit is to drip using a good mix of liquid.
Thank you for the thumbs up and I do agree that the less heat applied the better the e-liquid tastes.
I still tend to hold in my vapor as I did the smoke from a cigarette, sometimes I have to remind myself to breathe. It is a calming 'thing' I have done for years. I am aware of it, so I try not to give myself time to hold and attempt to keep talking.
