Drip Tank?

Hey folks. Right now, I have a small mod (Athena Smart 20 Mini) and I'm using a FreeMax 20 tank. For the most part, it does fine, but I've noticed that some of my sweeter e-juice flavors tend to clog up the coils after just a few hits.

I've been considering getting a drip tank, and I'm wondering if my little Smart Mini can handle one. What do y'all think?

I've tried over 20 watts and always hate it. Under 20 can be decent with a smaller RDA or any "normal" RDA which excludes almost anything from the last few years. The Mad hatter is a beautiful RDA with a cool top opening thing, but as a wide airflow device with indirect airflow adjustment it is not well suited to low power and wide bore drip tips/ "chuff caps" are a non-starter.

Make sure the RDA has a single coil mode, it's not always clear.

I generally max out at 9.3 watts (that's my magic number for some reason). My mod will go up to 20, but I find it unnecessary. I reckon I'll just go by my local and see what drip tank they recommend for my mod. I'd stick with what I've got, but I really like those sweeter juices and I hate to change a coil after just one tank of juice. :p

That's reasonable for that atomizer but here you do have an opportunity for a lot different vape, or just a little different. If the device is a lot different, it will need to be vaped on a lot different. Over 20 watts may be in your future but probably not a good next step.

Low power may be out of your local shop's comfort zone, although actually it turns out I would have been fine with buying what they had and halfheartedly suggested ;) .

A "drip tank" is different from an RDA or "dripper", which has no tank, just a little pool at the bottom at most. The drip tank has wide loose wick holes to a tank under the coil area, e.g. Nectar Micro, Wismec Theorem.

With a top air dripper that can use 1 coil ok you should be fine. Try Mutation ver 5 or a squonker.
