Wow. OK, so now it's between Boge or Joye. Joye is the one with fluval and a "real" atty at the bottom?? Right?

What about burn't filler... I've seen posts where after soaking/preping them the users of the horizontal wire cartos still report burning. BiancaMontgomery, o4_srt, Liv2Ski, Jim211 (the Boge carto users) ..... Do they burn up eventually? I heard they have paper in 'em.... but maybe that was another model. How do you know when they are "done" any you need to toss em? Burnt taste?

Same question to you guitardedmark.... The Joye mega ones had burnt filler in the pics ... see post #3.

How's a carto noob like me supposed to figure this $%^%$#! stuff out. Guess I'm just being paranoid about burnt stuff... hell, I smoked cigs for 30 years and burnt paper and tobacco.

I really like the IDEA behind cartos, I'm just not sure if I should just wait for rev 275.

Oh, and now there's new posts in here:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/123120-joye-510-cartomizers-4.html

Frack.

I guess it's a moving target. I'll just have to get some of both. What about wattage? They don't seem to match what I use for atties/ohms. So,

2.0 ohm for 3.7 volt vaping
? for 5 volt PT?

Right. That's pretty much what I was after. Bianca et al. above make it sound pretty much like that's what they get....

It's just that the 2 stickies in this forum start out by scaring you off.... lol. I don't mean they shouldn't be there, but .... argh.... what to do?...what to do?

Ya its amazing how much difficulty these companies have making these. I gave up on the ce2 when the PTB was out for months and they still didnt implement that in the new revisions or fix the wick at all. All the whole primer thing is ridiculous...

all cartos will burn eventually, if you let them dry out, or your PV gets stuck on and it heats up too much. The only way to avoid this is to avoid filler, but the tech isn't quite there yet.

The boge cartos have a fluval-ish material in them, the SLB's have the paperish filler (it's more of a rolled fabric). FWIW, boge is owned by dekang.

The only reason I ever throw any out (other than burning issues directly caused by my mod-box button sticking, not the carto's fault) is because performance just starts to dwindle after several weeks. They still work, just not as well.

I use standard resistance (3.2 ohms) boge cartomizers at 5.5 volts, and it's pretty much perfect (roughly 9.5 watts)

o4_srt...You rock..... Thx again all. I now know what to order and try.

not a problem, experienced the same situation you were all in when I started 5 months ago. Tried the boge's, the slb's (from varying vendors, in different resistances), the ego mega cartomizers, supposed boge's, which I believe were SLB's, but were mis-represented.

in addition to different filler, Boge battery connectors=silver, SLB's=brass.

if drippers are worried about filler burning, and still want to drip, why not try a juice mod? cannot speak from experience, but from what I understand, an internal bottle of juice is connected to an atty via small tubing. when the atty starts getting dry, squeeze the bottle and you're refilled.

Seriously? Several weeks?? I get about 3 days from them...sometimes more...and then taste goes off or they perform poorly. I go through at least 2 packs a month. But...at $7.95 a pack, it's not a huge deal. :) It cost me roughly $50 a month to vape, saving me $150 per month vs smoking. YAY VAPING!

P.S. Since I started dripping, I'm enjoying red lights and stop signs....

ROFLMFAO!!! I noticed just this morning driving to work that I was actually wanting the lights to turn red BEFORE I got to them. How friggin sad is THAT! LMAO!

Based on ALL the chit you have said in this thread I'd swear you were my twin brother.

Here, there, everywhere!
I use a drip tip on regular 510 and lr cartomizers. Its easier to keep topped off and as long as its good and wet they last longer and taste better. btw i started using a drip tip on cartomizers because the lr ones burnt my lips.

I thought we couldn't use LR's on 510 Batts??? Interested in your response - was told it would kill that battery

it puts more strain on the battery. Its simple if the battery is resisted less, is using more power and will not last as long. More battery usage = less battery longevity. I'm unaware of any exponential value with this. I've asked on a couple threads if anyone knows of an exponential decrease in battery life on the joye 510 when using LR and have not got any responses other than the generic it lowers battery life.
