Yes a drip tip will fit the 510-T atomizers are the same size . In fact if you don't look down inside you wouldn't be able to see any difference between a standard 510 and a 510-T . Atomizers are one thing you will buy often so why not just keep at least one standard 510 around for dripping .

I did try this with mine and it didn't work very well. Trying to hit the tiny tube is almost impossible..lol Using the regular EGO atomizer is much better..
Not on a regular 510 battery it isn't!

You can buy standard 510 atties and use those. They're very durable and produce tons of vapor.

I have no problem dripping in a 510 drip tip hole which is even smaller than 510 atty. I just brace my handle against the drip tip. But the inside of a 510-T atomizer with its spike and special wick is not the same as a regular atty. And I know I've seen some people say not to drip on it. You need spare attys anyway - buy a normal standard resistance 510 atty.

Well I am using an Ego 900 ma battery and the standard Ego atomizer. I did however try dripping my EGO-T atomizer, without any success, was assuming the 510-t atomizer was a bit smaller and therefore a bit more difficult..

Sorry for the confusion..:p

FWIW, I've been dripping with a 510-T atty for several weeks now. For a dry atty it does take more drops to get to the coil at first - about 5 to 7 last time I did it. And it helps if the first drops are put in before the tip, so you can angle the atty so the first drops hit the gaps on either side of the needle plate and atty wall. Once it's going, 3 drops in the tip whenever it begins to taste dry is all it takes, and I usually get a dozen or more good drags off of that, depending on the juice and the 510-T atty.

Personally I never got the hang of dripping on a regular atty - it sounds so blasted easy I don't see why not, unless I just had a batch of four bad attys. Regardless, I think dripping on the 510-T, once it's wetted, should work as well or better. The wick, if it's still in good shape and hitting the coil, should help keep the coil wet as long as the coil isn't allowed to get so hot that stuff sticks to it.

I mostly do this when testing a new juice sample to see if it's worth spending a carto on, but have spent half a day at work dripping and vaping new juice that a friend brought in. Despite having jumped on the Maxx Fusion/Volt bandwagon I'll probably always keep a 510-T battery and an atty or two around just for this.

Remove the wick plate from a 510-T, and guess what you find down there.

Absolutely the best dripping atty on planet Earth.
A SR 510-T works best on my 5v pass through.
A LR 510-T is a little hot at 3.7v (9 watts) and hits perfect on an eGo bat (7.7 watts)
If you drip properly, you will get 20+ hists between drips.
Sense Cisco came out with the drip shield cone for eGo's, this combination is 7th heaven.

They should have named this atty the 510-D instead of the 510-T.

Since I'm such a cheapskate and these 510-T's were (still are in some places) on clearance, I had decided to pick some a handful months ago. I was sorely disappointed in them until I discovered the very thing you did. Of course, before sharing this "wonderful discovery" I did a search to see if others came up with the same thing. Good for you beating me to it by quite a while :thumb:

These are GREAT drippers once you remove that stupid spike!

I was also able to remove them just pushing them sideways [in my case, I pushed on one of the 'open' sides] with anything solid that fits in there. It does take a good amount of force to do this way but well worth the little bit of effort.
