Dripping on an atomizer is not recommended with auto batteries (too easy to damage them with juice leaks)

As for why drip on an atomizer? It's handy for testing new juices - you don't have to fill a cart to try a juice. And I would never ever use a cartomizer to try out bottled juice since cleaning them is somewhere between difficult and impossible. Some people like to drip all the time and prefer the vapor and flavor that way.

And I use a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece on stuffing-type cartomizers but never ever drip into it. I only use cartomizers with defined center air channels like Boge for my 510 or Vapor4Life with my KR8 and if I tried to drip into one of those then the juice would aim right for the air channel. It's so easy to pull the drip tip out and add juice (and also take the cartomizer off the battery when adding juice).

The little white soft cap? Yes - it IS meant to be put back on and vaped through. But some cartos are hot (the WOW cartos I use on my KR808D-1 can be hot) so I started using a plastic drip tip instead of the white cap to protect my lips from the heat so I could take as long a drag as I wanted. A plastic or delrin drip tip doesn't get hot and it's also a bit smaller between the lips. But I ended up liking the way the drip tip felt and how easy it was to pull out to add juice. And I like the vapor coming through the larger opening. I only use them as mouthpieces on my two main cartos and the less used flavor cartos just have the white cap.

no, I am talking about the black or blue or green "drip tips". What do you use to put to your mouth?

A drip tip is simply a hollow tip (mouthpiece) that is used to drop liquid directly onto the atty, so you don't have to pull the tip off to drip every time. Can also be used as a mouthpiece on cartos.

well damn... I did not know this. This is one more piece that I am accidentally stumbling on. Just wish the store I bought this from (after numerous conversations) actually paid attention to what I was asking.

Thats what we're here for :) There's a bit of a learning curve, but once you find what you like vaping is fantastic!

Its not your imagination, MQ. That's why so many people drip, you get more vapor and a "purer" taste (no filler to interfere). The only "down" side to dripping is that you have to carry a juice bottle with you and have to re-drip every 4-10 hits. There's a whole slew of Youtube videos on how to do it and it's worth trying for anyone new to vaping. Just make sure you only do this on "manual" batteries. There can be some juice leakage with this method and it only takes a drop into the hole in an automatic battery to kill it.
