You can drip and anything that's sealed. Just make sure you have the atty to match the voltage. You don't want to run a 2ohm on 5v for example or you'll probably burn the juice.

I've always dripped because I tend to get the best flavour that way.
Couple of drops and vape about 4 or 5 times (depending on how long you're tooting).
I only tend to use cartos when I am out but everyone is different.

I dripped exclusively for about 11 months. Ahhh the taste and hit. While I have started converting to tank cartomizers for practicality, I will always drip at least a few times a day.
The best attys for dripping would have to be the 306 and 801. I still have about ten 801 attys and take one with me every time I leave the house.
As you become more familiar you will be able to detect the slightest changes in throat hit. As the liquid is consumed by the atty, the feeling goes from warm and full to an ever so slight burning. A slight metallic taste is also present. Again, after a while it will become second nature and you will know when to drip.
