You come to your own conclusions, but drip tips are not good for filling for all the reasons mentioned. I'll say one contrary thing ;-) I think the best mouthpieces are not drip tips but cartridges that you take the filler out of and cut down as necessary with a carton-cutter. The drip tips are a straight pipe to your throat. The cartridge has some tunneling that gives the vapor a chance to cool down and any hot droplets or unwelcome particles a place to settle. The down side is you have to blow them out, as juice condenses in them. But I'd rather it condensed THERE, if you get my drift. Check it out.

All my drip tips are diff sizes as per the openings. One thing I've noticed is my vape is different when I use a drip tip that has a larger opening= get more vapor into the mouth/ lungs and it's warmer.

Drip Tips is actually a misleading term, except for those who use atomizers. If you use drip tips with cartomizers, you should still remove it to fill; because you don't want to get juice in the center hole in the carto; especially if you are using auto batteries. The plus side is that they are more easily removed each time you fill or top off than the standard flat mouthpieces that come in the carto.

I agree wholeheartedly and always wondered how they came up with that term unless it goes back to when only attys were around?

I wasn't around back then, but I assume that's the case. Drip Tips is a misnomer for those who use cartos. Personally, I wouldn't vape without them on my cartos.
