I just got a delrin drip-tip for my 510, thinking it would make my life easier since I drip, and it's been nothing but a huge mess! I usually drip about 3 drops directly on the atomizer, so I figured doing that through the drip tip would be fine.

Instead, the juice either sticks to the drip tip and never reaches the atomizer, giving a horrible dry vape, or it gets stuck in the tip, resulting in a mouthful of juice.

I figured maybe dripping 4 drops to overcome the amount getting stuck to the tip would fix that. I did that and it seemed to help. Unfortunately, I put my vaporizer in my bag last night and just took it out today. The thing was covered in liquid that had leaked out during the night, presumably from the excess that was adhering to the drip tip (as the atty was dry last night when I put it away).

Am I missing something here? The only easy way seems to be to remove the tip, drip, stick it on and then vape. That's fine, since the tip still does it's job, but I'm a little disappointed that dripping down the tip seems to be near impossible to do without making a mess.

I've also tried this with a couple liquids (Halo Freedom and Dekang Menthol) and both seem to have the same problem.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Kinda disappointed here... everyone raves about drip tips, but it's been nothing but an annoyance for me so far.

jude nailed it. Blow gently (without the tip in your mouth) before you drip and blow gently afterward. I know it sounds like a pain but it really isn't. It becomes second nature and takes no time at all.

What happens is the vapor sits on top of the atty and blocks the liquid. Blowing on it takes care of the problem. I blow gently afterward because I use mostly vg which is thicker. Some people flick the PV instead of blowing into the tip.

I haven't had any luck with drip tips yet either.
It seems that I can get maybe a couple of good vapes and then nothing.
So I drip some more, blow, tap, vape and then there is the leakage.
I have the super t and the drip tip with the vapestack.
I keep going back to fluval filler in carts and/or cartomizers so I can vape for an hour or so without having to mess with juice, leakage, washing out tips so they don't leak when I carry them out somewhere.
So many of ECF say they really enjoy dripping. How is this possible?

I uded to have the same problem when I had a cheapo drip tip. I kept missing my aim, and the liquid didn't seem to flow down properly.

No more problems now that I have a T-Tip widemouth drip tip from Super T. They are not cheap, but a good drip tip will last forever. They are designed in such a way that the hole is bigger, and curved on the inside so that liquid flows to the proper part of the atty.

I got the stainless steel T-Tip, which I find makes the liquid flow better and quicker to the mark. They also have delrin, which is designed the same way, but liquid seems to stick easier to plastic whereas that is not an issue with stainless steel.

Dripping and Cartomizers are the only way to go. My wife uses the dip tips on the cartomizers. It extends them in her Ego and opens up the draw. I still use the cart tips for dipping gives me a tighter draw. (Old habit)

    What a great idea. :D
This idea briefly crossed my mind awhile back and I'm glad to hear it works. Seems like it would take the guess work out of adding juice, too. Thanks.

I've got 3 drip tips from 3 different places and use them regularly. Love them. Work great. Drip the juice, about 3 drops for a 510, and you're off for a good amount of vaping. Easier to change flavors and the flavor really comes through, especially on my bridgeless atty. I just tried the no filler cartomizer and it's not as bad as I thought either. Just have to make a plug to be able to carry it around. (it does take some time and patience to modify those). Only problem I have with my drip tips is the stainless one. As awesome as it looks, I'm finding that biting on metal isn't as cool as I imagined. Never thought that admitting I drip would end up being a positive thing.
