Kat, I'll just be honest with you the mvp is in the same category as the provari and many others of that type device. They have such a small window that they will operate in with lower ohn coils. Yes is will light the 1.4 omh coil but is like 3.4 watts its just isn't a great vape. If you plan to use your mvp with a dripper 1.8 - 2.0 ohm is probably the sweet spot. Unless you go mechanical or something like a dna you are only using about 10% of what a rda can do.

I find that I like around 1.5 to 1.7
That's what I have right no in my RTA and it's fantastic.
What you said makes sense.

wouldnt trust the MVP that much with ohm readings.. mine fired a 0.8 ohm build 0_0 Now something about that is fishy.

It just fires a 1.0 ohm build too.. where u get the 1.2 ohm limit?

Don't remember which one but it was a review on the MVP 2 that I had read it. I've also read it several times on here.

I don't mind. I can't stand having to change batteries. I sold my mechanical. I like the system itself to recharge. If there was a rechargeable mec mod for dripping I'd love to know about it. Not into batteries. For now. I'm good with my MVP or something thats similar without the Provari price. I don't make enough to make that purchase. Thats more then half my rent. LOL

lol sounds like we have very similar vaping budgets. Makes you really appreciate what you're able to afford though.:thumb:

Collecting is fun!!! I am just learning to build and drip but already have several rebuildables and a big collection of drip tips... lol if I am itching to shop/buy something new and pretty I gp after drip tips and rebuilables :)
Another benefit is that they basically last forever. For the most part the only thing that needs replaced is the coils and wicks. And I can see myself collecting RDAs and drip tips.

For those who want the ultimate in simplicity with no rebuilding get some decent LR 510 attys (e.g. Olympian) and a drip tip. Job done. Alternatively you can buy ready made coil/wick setups that work fine in the Igo-L from FT. The simplest RDA for home use is the Octopus. Why for home use? It's easy to get leakage out of the air hole - so not really ideal for a shirt pocket (unless you think that weird damp patches look cool on a shirt).

I ended up getting a Trident for my MVP v2 just some tips when building a coil for it, don't go for dual coil as the MVP can only get up to 11 watts it doesn't have enough to power two coils I've found this out the hard way. 32 gauge wire seemed to be the best gauge for it as it allowed smaller coils around 3-4 wraps with enough ohms to fire. Always check your ohm resistance after building and fire away from your face first before actually taking a hit off it.
-Welcome to RDA's
