Dripping and storing?

Just wondering if I can put a few drops on the atomizer, smoke say 3 or 4 puffs, put it away and come back in like 20 minutes and keep smoking??

Will I need to put in more drops after I put the cig away for a little while?

I just dont want to burn out my atomizer so soon, which is why im being a little paranoid

it should be ok to do that but I always place another drop or two anyways to be sure.
