I have an L2 510. I've settled into a routine where when I am at home, I always drip, putting a drop or two of e-liquid onto the atomizer, vaping until it's gone, and repeat. I use an empty cartridge with no filler/foam when dripping.

I only use filled cartridges with the blue foam when I am out of the house.

Another thing I do is designate specific atomizers for different types of flavors. I have 4 atomizers, and each one is labeled with a number, 1 - 4. In atomizer #1, I only use tobacco flavors (Flue-Cured Tobacco, Virginia Tobacco, RY4, and 555). In atomizer #2, I only use "tobacco menthol" flavors (the same tobacco flavors with a dash of Mint flavor). Atomizer #3 is for "minty flavors" (Candy Cane, Chocolate Mint, Coffee Mint, and Chocolate Minty Chip). And atomizer #4 is for all other flavors (Chocolate, English Toffee, and Butterscotch).

All of my tobacco flavors are 18 mg/mL, and all of the other (sweeter) flavors are 12 mg/mL. I like the tobacco flavors to be stronger, but like the sweeter flavors with a bit less nicotine.

Does anybody else have a similar routine?

i drip everywhere i go, even while driving...it takes alot of skill but ive got it down to a science, first i check my speed, then see if theres a car coming in the other direction, the i hold the wheel with my knee, drip once, look up, check speed, then drip again, and im good.
as for different attys for different flavors, i just use one for all, its kind of like being a taste tester. you would be amazed at some of the flavors you can get, like if i drip one drop of menthol and one of 555, its a carmely mentholy tobacco-y <--(what?) flavor that you can really learn to love.

That`s almost what I do.

The 1st 510 atty on a 3.7 volt mod box is only for Tobacco flavors. Mostly 555, ry4, ry3, ry2, ry1, winston, Mar-bro, Dk-Tab, Virginia.

The 2nd atty with a 510 battery and whistle tip cart and my first atty is strictly a Camel mix with rum.

The 3rd atty on a 510 Battery is French Toast, or Bubble Gum

The 4th used for dripping and is a extended bridge atty on a 3.7 mod box gets whatever flavor. After a minty flavor I use a non-flavor to wash that mint out most of the time. Flavors include all the above listed plus Cherry, Banana, Strawberry, Cappuccino. Once I use up those small bottles I`ll mix more of whatever else flavors for this atty setup.

:p

One of the ten commandments of vaping "don't drip and drive"....

Though, to be honest... I can't say I don't do it either xD

I have a quest for drippers. Do you all tend to be hyperactive types? Cause I cannot even imagine going to all that trouble of messing with my equipment all the time.

I like to have 20-30 polyfilled clean carts. I take one out each day, drip whatever flavor I want for the day, pop it on my atty and I'm good to go. I take the bottle with me if I'm going out to redrip. In the evening I pop off my atty, turn it over onto a papertowel to drain.

Once every week or two I set up and clean all the used carts, dry everything and start over. So this way all I have to do is charge batteries, and with the Ego that's only once every 2 days.

Just curious.

I'm going to guess you take a drag or two every now and then.
Cartridges with standard filler should work fine for you if that is the case.

But if you ever start taking more drags more quickly, faster than the wicking action of your filler material can keep up, then you will start to understand why many people go with various cartridge mods or start dripping. It's all about keeping that juice flowing fast and free for some of us.

And it also should be mentioned that you will get much more flavor without that filler.
Dripping is a good thing, and it really isn't as much trouble as you think.

Give it time, and you will be trying it yourself.

I'm going to have to speak out against this. Being distracted for just a fraction of a second when driving can have horrible results. I know you think that it is fine because of your "procedures", but truthfully, it is not fine. Please only do this when you are stopped for a traffic signal or when waiting for an opening in traffic to make a turn.

Started out using carts only with a Joye510. After receiving my Prodigy V1 I started dripping at home and using carts at work. I didn't mind fiddling around with them at work. After getting a Protege I started just dripping. Carts were ok but after getting some mods I couldn't see going back to carts. Don't mess with carts at all anymore. It's so much easier imo.

How many drags are you guys getting per 2-3 drips while dripping?? i cannot seem to get more than 5 good 4-5 second drags dripping....is this average?
It is for me, but I take very long, deep lung inhale drags.
I definitely do not get what I consider a cigarette worth out of dripping.
:(

I typically have to drip twice for a smoke break.

I use a cart on m 510 during the day, then late at night after the munchkin has gone to bed I'll drip and tailpipe.

My dripping method is a bit off though; I'm not sure if it's the size/viscosity of my e-liquid drops or the diameter of my dropper but I often miss the bridge and drip into the bottom of the atty, immediately flooding it and leaking out the battery threads. My juice bottle is a 1oz baby Tylenol bottle with the enclosed dripper/cap. If I'm very careful I can get the dropper in enough to get the tip onto the bridge and let it wick out of the dropper.

I have a follow up question for the drippers:

I am coming back to e-cigs from a short but sad hiatus. I used to drip on the 901, (actually I had trouble hitting the bridge sometimes too).

My question is how are you guys carrying the bottles around with you?

I carried mine, sometimes just straight in my pocket but usually in my backpack in this mod I made out of the starter kit box. I used the foam from two starter kids I had to make sure nothing could move. I got really nervous about the possibility of having not closed the bottle well enough, or that it would break. It made me obbsesive about checking the box every few minutes.
