Dripping different flavors: ways of cleaning atomizer between them

Totally new to vaping. Just got my Kgo today, and also bought a Drip Cup adapter, and using a 306 atomizer and trying out all my new flavors I bought.

Question: What's the best way, or different ways to try different flavors without tasting your last flavor mixed into it? Turn it upside down? Throw the atomizer under the sink? I guess I don't need a sterilized atomizer but right now I'm getting both flavors when I switch for a few puffs.

I'm only putting between 2-4 drops into it on each session.

I bought a bottle of vodka just for cleaning my accessories, mixing with juices, and I use it to mix with my essential oils that I use for air sprays. Whenever I switch flavors I put a couple drops of vodka on the atty and puff on it without inhaling and repeat a couple times. It seems to work.

Well you probably don't want to use tap water on any atty or carto..too many contaminants. I usually will drip some VG or PG in there and give it a couple draws, then blow it out and add the next flavor. That is if the difference in flavors are far apart.

Same animal as Want2Vape Atty Refresher. To put it in Mitt Romney terms, they're Etch a Sketches for e-liquid.

I suspect that both are nothing more than unflavored VG, but whatever. They work.

i just started dripping and I may not be doing it the "best" way, but, it works for me. What I do is drip 3-4 drops, vape till the flavor changes (slight burnt taste), then drip 3-4 more of the same flavor or a different flavor. If there's some flavor creep, I can't really tell. Then again I'm not going between menthols and cinnamons either.

That was my suspicion. I DIY so I tried some of my straight VG. It didn't seem to work as well and took forever. So I cut it with a little water and it still didn't work as quickly. There's a "secret ingredient" in there. I suspect PGA but I can't smell any and I haven't tried that yet. I'll give it a shot when I run out.

Personally I use a $30 ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight and I run the "used" atty's through three 3 minute cycles in just some distilled water. It seems to clean out the flavor quite well. I do this about once every 3 weeks.

Also I blow out the atomizer every 24-48 hours and that will push all the excess juice out and in most cases it will "clean the pallet" so to speak. If your vaping similar flavors (ie tobacco) it works well. If you switching between more prominent flavors (fruits/menthol) then the blow out method may not help as much.

I personally drip most of the time with my silver bullet. I run (4-5) 510 LR atty's and swap them out when I switch flavors that contrast too much with each other. At the end of 3-4 weeks, I run them (all but one) through the ultrasonic cleaner and let them dry for a day or two. I have yet to burn one out in almost 3 months of steady vaping.

I use PG for cleaning out any tastes as it is thinner then VG. Just fill it and blow it through into a paper towel. Repeat 2 or three times. Do a test vape for clean taste and repeat if needed. The juice is cheap.

Pure Grain Alcohol... I use Vodka instead and it works fine.

Google "pg vg difference" basically one is glycol base and the other glycerine based liquid.

Ultrasonic cleaners work good for cleaning, but they're kind of inconvenient to use just between flavors.

They work even better if you do a couple steps first.

1) Soak for about 1/2 to 1 hour in PGA. That loosens up the sludge.
2) Blow out and drop in hot water with an unflavored denture cleaning tablet for 20-30 minutes or so. You'll be amazed how well denture cleaning tablets work on the softened gunk.
3) Rinse under hot water, blow out the excess and stick in your ultrasonic cleaner. That takes care of the stuff the tablet didn't blow away.
4) Blow out and dry burn. Good as new and ready to use without waiting 2 or 3 days.

I'm going to combine steps 2 and 3 and try using hot water and the denture cleaning tablet(s) in the ultrasonic. That might work even better.

Many ways to do it I guess. But I use pure grain alcohol (PGA), also know as Ever Clear. I don't drink the stuff so just bought a small size bottle for cleaning my vape goodies. You a little in, then blow it out. wait a minute and try your next flavor. works great every time. PS some of these eraser style products are nothing more than PGA diluted with distilled water. I would stay away from water unless you have some time for it to dry.

Thanks for the info all. I'll keep all of them in mind. I'll try vodka now since I'm in California where they don't sell PGA and maybe get PGA next time I travel out of state if it works good. I would think the alcohol would dry out quicker when you blow it off to dry than the others and I don't want my ejuice diluted. But vodka does have a bit of water in it though...hmm Maybe try getting some debridged 306s or try debridging myself so it cleans easier.

Several you tube videos say all you have to do is blow them out. They recommend doing it at least daily for maintenance purposes.

100% IPA can be found in industrial supply and hardware stores. It evaporates completely, leaving no residue behind.

Just sayin'.
