Okay - just got out the eGo Twist 1000, attached bridgeless atty, put in 3 drops, popped on drip tip, vapes GREAT! Good flavour...

BUT what now!?!

a) how long before atty is dry?
b) do I need to be afraid of atty getting dry? How will I know?
c) how do I clean atty to try new juice?

I'm sure someone somewhere on this forum has asked/answered this many times, but I can't find it.

I watched a couple of youtubes on dripping, but they only showed how to get started, not how to finish! LOL -

Thanks :D

Welp... you generally well get a warning vape

I recommend not doing what I do and go.. "hmmmm tastes like it is about dry... *huge haul off it anyways* coughing fits..ewww gross comments... drip some more to get a good taste and then usually do it again right after lol :)

Unless it is a really strong flavour you are generally good to go a head and drip a new juice but you might have a little taste of the old juice still in it.

You can do a little dry burn as well to get rid of it but generally go a head and drip. If you have a few you can toss it into some vodka give it a shake and burn the rest off.

I generally just drip the new juice in an if I didn't like the old juice just blow it out backwards from where I dripped it in ( the bottom of it blow out into paper towel )

Too many variables to put in a simple neat package. It is, imho, an acquired skill based on experience - I still haven't mastered it :) Shades is correct though, it will let you know!

Cleaning the atomizer is fairly standard, and there are many youtube videos on it. Personally, I just use an ultrasonic cleaner with water and let it dry out thoroughly.

The advice above is good....

1. It varies on atty, juice, and you.... experts told me that you get roughly 2-3 hits per drop, and drip 3 drops. I find I get on the low side of that, because I take big hits! Some juices disappear quicker on the atty. Some atties vaporize more. Trial and error is your best bet, and on that note.....
2. You'll know it's getting dry when you get a hit that has diminished flavor and might even have a tiny suggestion of dry hit in it. Time to drip. This is when I usually get distracted typing or taking a phone call, then forget and pick up my PV and hit it hard lol. Don't do that! lol
3. I like to keep pure PG on hand for this purpose. Blow the atty out into a tissue firmly. Drip 3-4 drops of PG and let sit for 30 seconds. Blow it out too. If it was a strong flavor, or you're just picky like me, do it again. At this point, you can even vape some of the pure PG off the coil to help burn off any last residue, but I'll admit this is bordering on .... retentive lol. Now prime with the new juice and enjoy!

I don't like to dry burn drip atties as they're typically low-res and I don't want to pop a coil. When the coils get gunked up and the PG thing no longer gets it tasting clean, I've seen it recommended to give them a soak in vodka then allow them to dry thoroughly before using again. Haven't personally tried it yet though.

Another cleaning method is to use hydrogen peroxide (drug store variety). Blow out the atty, put a couple drops of h2o2 in your atty, burn for 20-30 seconds, repeat, rinse with plenty of cold water then set it aside to dry.

Under heat, the h2o2 reduces to h2o + o2. The o2 helps de-crud and remove flavors through oxidation.
