I have a noob question. When I got my ego it didnt come with a cartridge. It came with a drip tip instead. So I would like to know how does a cartridge work, and can it be used with a drip tip?

basically all I do is put 3 drops down the tip onto the atty, I am starting to find the flavours are mixing a little too much for my liking. Thoughts on this?

What kind of atomizer is it?

Normally atomizers come with carts which are filled with an absorbent material. You drip the juice into that, and then attach it to the atomizer. The juice wicks down steadily and that's that. They are used instead of a drip tip. You can't use both.

But you can use an empty cartridge as a mouthpiece, and just remove it when you want to direct drip.

The flavors are mixing because you are too eager to try all your flavors :) Only real way to avoid this is to rinse and dry the atomizer in between flavor changes. Not very practical if you want to drip a different flavor every half hour.

The Ego-T tanks don't like to be cleaned, but just a regular atomizer? No problem. Just blow out excess juice through the top and out the threads for a quick "clean." Rinse them under water for something a bit more thorough.

Alcohol, boiling water or vinegar for when a quick rinse doesn't help, and finally before you chuck the atomizer because you think it's done, do a dry burn as a last ditch effort.

That's what I do.

FYI, with dry burning you run the risk of popping the atty, but water is harmless for regular atomizers. For any of the atomizers with absorbent material, however (like the Ego T), water does seem to interfere with performance, imo. Same goes for cartomizers. I don't even bother trying to clean those.
