Evie Krempp, Here it is man:
Dripping is basically a technique that puts YOU in control of getting a great hit off yer atomizer. No filler, tank, catridge to get in the way. IMO you get the cleanest hit, strongest throat hit, best flavor and best vapor while dripping.
Now, this greatness does come with some user responsibility:
You have to keep that atomizer wet. If you run it dry then you will get bad burning taste cause you are scorching your wick the coil has no juice to vaporize and it burns itself and the wick.
You want to try not to flood it with too much juice(not great but always better than running dry). Too much liquid and it's harder for the coil to heat up enough to vaporize the juice and you end up getting very little vapor until enough juice vapes away and then it will hit right.
Adjust your draw. You might find that you will have to adjust your draw when dripping. Example: From a cartomizer/cart-tank you might take long, medium to hard draws on it then inhale. While dripping, if you don't happen to have enough juice in yer atomizer this same draw might use up the juice and start running the coil dry before the end of your draw. Try to take shorter and lighter draws while dripping and you might be surprised at how great it is.
There is a learning curve. You will need to spend a lil bit of time finding right where that sweet spot is, not too much juice but enough for the good hit and not run dry. Yes it is a process where you will be dripping a few drops once you sence the flavor dropping off and yes, you will be dripping often. Some call it a hassle and a pain but I believe it is well worth it and honestly it really isn't that big of a deal. I drip at work, home, bar, store, restaurant, movie....it's easy. I have heard people say that it sucks to carry around juice all the time.....I carry two things with me everywhere I go: my mod (prodigy, batteries last me all day) and a bottle of juice....that's it! I don't carry my device, an extra battery or 3 plus a small bit of juice to maybe top off a tank if I go out...etc,etc. Point is if you take a bit of time to get the hang of it really isn't inconvenient to have an awesome hit and flavor and vapor.
OK, so, there are different strokes for different folks. I personally love wicked hard throat hits and big flavor. I like a lot of vapor also but i can deal with a lil less vapor as long as I get my good TH and I don't get a burn taste. When I started on e-cigs (about 2.5 years ago) I had a 510 starter kit with 510 atomizers and "cartridges"

, I hated filling carts and went right to dripping. I have bee using a 6v Prodigy V3 for the past 2 years and have been a dripper only since. I tried carto's when they became all the rage for "convenience" but I never ever got the same hit and flavor. then I tried tank carto's and tanks and tried to keep an open mind but I still haven't come across one I like yet. A Provari VV is on it's way to me now and maybe with the variable voltage I might find a tank and carto i like but who knows.
Anyways, maybe you will dig it and maybe not. BTW, I'm not bagging on tanks and carto's or peoples practices, ya gotta find what werks for you right? I hope someday I will find a tank carto that works well cause some of these tanks are soooo damn kool!!
Keep giving the dripping an honest try and you will prolly "get it" soon enough. Hope this helps
(rant over, it's late and I couldn't sleep) P.S. If you are ever near the Addison area I can give you a dripping clinic

Also there is a new store Vape Lounge here if you haven't already seen/heard of it....great juice flavors and they have just about all the hardware ya need.
