The YO
dripper here. sometimes down the hatch and when it appears too dry = up the battery hole with about 6 drops.

gave up on carts when i saw how much juice i could squeeze out of them after vaping them. total waste of money and good juice.

exactly. i had several 808d1's burn up with precious halo in them , only to find out i destroyed at least 2$ worth of liquid...

still do it with the 901 , bu not nearly as much now that im done relying on fillers... i put a couple drips on , hit it till theres a cloud without taste , and drip again...

burned another one up the other day , left it screwed onto my mod , hit the switch , and didnt know i was cooking it... the other one still tastes like mouthwash , which isnt going away , so its off to get some silica rope tomorrow and some silver solder , and get to fixing all those old broken attys...yay...

i have a Q about drip tips , dont you get a bunch of (expletive) in your mouth when you flood? anyone do anything to remedy this? i get this from using a stock tip , so i filled the mouthpiece part with ptb , kinda making a filter...

Not me, for whatever reason. If flooding happens, for me it limits itself to "sweatiness" around the battery joint and crummy performance. Every once in a while I get one of those little bubbles of warm juice that pops up from I don't know where, but I've actually learned to enjoy that a bit.

Hawaii! Yay haha
If you have a drip tip and drip into it, you'll always have a little juice on the inside walls, and when you inhale, you'll sometimes get the liquid in your mouth. You can avoid this by taking off the tip when you drip into the atty. It sounds inconvenient, but can be done with one hand while the other holds the bottle, and it solves the problem.

As for flooding the atty, it can happen if you still have a wick and bridge, but if you take those pieces out, there's no such thing as flooding, ever again! :)

The way vaping becomes simplified when you take the bridge and wick out of the atty - no more flooding, no more worrying about keeping the coil wet (I always do dry burns on my LR atty, all day long to keep the coil running clean) and no more burnt wick taste - no more burning of the plastic carts (you ever feel your chest tighten after you vape with a plastic cart? Pull it out... often the plastic is melting and you're inhaling that).

When you get the hang of dripping, you can go days and days and never, ever spill a drop on your desk, or have anything leak out of the atty. I can't remember the last time I flooded an atty, had e-juice enter my mouth, or gotten it on my hands or desk :D

Just another shameless plug for direct dripping! But cartos are OK, too, especially when driving (be safe).

I'm still several posts back but I finally had to post a question, and maybe I'll find the answer as I read along... but I have vision problems so I initially thought dripping wouldn't work for me. It turns out that dealing with carts and cartos were harder for me to deal with as you have to be able to "see" if the filler is slushy. With Dripping, I just put the tip of the bottle by feel right into my open ended steel drip-tip and squeeze once or twice, and then vape. Sometimes nothing dripped in but I can't help that... and sometimes I flood the atty and have to scurry for a paper towel but overall dripping is very easy for me. Sometimes if I throw like 4 drips into my atty and then head off to work, and if I only vape a few times throughout the day, I can get through the whole day without re-dripping. I don't quite have the balls to spend time on the clock dripping, although I have run off to the bathroom to drip real quick. My question is, am I doing it wrong? People seem to think dripping is a "hassle" and while you may have to stop and drip more often if your vaping heavily, you probably have the time to stop and do a quick drip drip if your sitting there just puffing away. What exactly is the hassle of dripping? Maybe people who drive run out of juice while they can't take their hands off the wheel? I dunno, I just think so far, dripping is a lot less work than maintaining carts. Especially when I wanna change flavors, its a royal pain to take off the old cart, put a cap on it, get a new cart or clean a used one, and then fill it and then clean your atty to switch flavors, god what a pain. I just switch flavors and don't worry about blowing out the atty unless the two flavors are drastically different. Most of my juices are sweet anyway so there's not really a need to completely start fresh in most cases. At some point I wanna get a leak-resistant solution or a juicebox that won't let me get flooded atties or leaks, any tips and tricks for avoiding messes would be nice. Thanks!

@ byron27: Man, if anyone would benefit from a modified juice pump, it would be you. It's big, red, you can drip without looking, and you can mod it so it only puts out however many drops you prefer. The modification is simple: just pull off the cap and drop a couple of washers or something similar onto the tube. Feel free to PM me if you have questions, or just read about it here:

Holy CRAP! I saw that pump in the earlier posts but didn't quite get it, that thread you posted explained it better... is the a youtube video of this thing in use. I might have to get one of these things. I was thinking of getting a juicebox type of thing that auto-feeds your atty but that seems excessive, this looks abso-freakin'-lutely beautiful and perfect for my needs. The only problem is what if you have many types of juice and you wanna switch out, can you buy multiple inner bottles? Thanks for showing me this.

No video, but I've thought of making one of me grabbing gears, dripping and vaping in city traffic as a response to all of those "but dripping is so haaaard" comments :)

Also, the thing comes as a unit, no option for inner bottle only. One of it's major drawbacks is that it's not easy to swap flavors on the go. No big deal to me, but it could be a deal-breaker for some people. You could always keep doing the other flavors the same way you're doing them now, and just keep your favorite in the pump where it's handy.

Dripping may seem like a hassle, but when you have the technique of shaking the bottle, holding it the right way when you drip, and being able to put just a single drop in and vape huge, thick clouds... the whole dripping routine becomes an experience! ..

I've never seen anyone do some kind of 'Art Of Dripping' video yet. I'll figure out how to make a nice HD video for YouTube someday soon if no one beats me to it.

Happy vaping!

I've been looking for one of those as there seems to be ones for everything else imaginable and I'm a visual learner:laugh:

Ok. Just re-read this thread again, it's the third or fourth time I have. I'm happy for all the people that are into dripping, or into cart mods, or into cartomizers and think that their preferred poison is the only way to go, because for them, it probably is. For myself, I do all three (four if you add dipping with my Volcano atty). I can't see letting go of any of the methods that have been successful for me over any single method. I guess I just like to have more options available or see some pluses for each of the different methods.

I do tend to drip or dip at home a lot, especially when I'm trying out a new juice or have just mixed a new flavor. When driving any distance, not just up to the store and back, I usually use a cartomizer on an automatic battery, nearly hands free. At work and often when I'm in the shop at home I use carts, usually on a box mod. It's almost the same procedure to top off a cart as it is to drip, I just get more puffs on it than I do dripping. There is some overlap and I've done all methods in each of the different situations except the dripping and driving and they all work and for me they all work equally well.

Guess this really doesn't add anything to this thread, just wanted to toss my opinion out there on the heap too.

Vape happy!
