I've been trying to use 510 atty's for tasting juice and it has been a horrible experience.:grr: I tried with the SLB LR that came with the Kgo on the KGO. The 3.0hm that came with the LT on the LT as well as a few I bought to try and every one I have had the same issues. It either tastes burnt or it floods and gurgles. :?: I must be doing something wrong and I know it takes time to learn but I have done it many many times. I mean at least 100 times, probably more. I have even tried debridging them. They also leak all over my lavatube batt connector. What the heck could I be doing wrong. :confused:Yes I dripped 3-4 drops took a puff and added more. I've also tried everything else I could think of. I can kind of taste the juice but not nearly as good as in a standard Boge carto and the flavor always stays in the atty. :( Especially after testing 10 flavors I can taste them all a little bit, so I have no idea what the juice I'm testing really tastes like. There has got to be a better way. I've seen atty's I have considered buying such as the i06 from Ikenvape, the 306, 801 or 901 and even the hybrid. I don't mind spending more, but I need something better. I'm making DIY juices and this is just not working and can't just use a whole cartomizer every time I want to test a juice or making DIY juices will not save me any money, wwhich is the whole point. Any help would be greatly appeciated!:)

It could just be your attys. My first attys that cam with my offbrand eGo behaved the same: two drops wasn't enough, three drops was flooded. I really like the i06 from Ikenvape; just remember to get some drip tips if you go that route. They hold a buncha juice and seem to be a bit more forgiving than other attys I've tried. I haven't tried a lot of different attys so I'm sure there are other good ones out there. Once I tried the i06, I stopped looking.

I have to agree with Keith - the io6 is the answer. The attys that came with my lavatube leaked a lot, and didn't help the taste at all. Since I found the io6, it's great. I don't really like the drip tips IkenVape has, but have ordered some pyrex from theegig. They look like they will perform better. On my lavatube I'm using 3.5 ohm at around 5 volts, and loving it!

This is just my opinion, but before you take an atty like an I06 to test juices you might just want to try something like a genuine Joyetech. I have tried SLB's in both 510 and 306's and not fond of how they vaped. What has worked best for me are the Cisco spec 306's from Avid.

You might want to tweak your dripping technique just slightly. What I do is on a fresh atty, drip 5-6 drops directly under the bridge and let that soak in for at least 30 seconds. Then after that put your tip on and drip 3 more drops down on to the bridge and it should be ready to vape. When it starts to dry out add 2-3 drops at a time. I have had some atty's I can drip 3 drops on consistently and some only 2. Another tip I picked up somewhere was to blow out the atty at least once a day. This seems to keep my atty fresh daily. Sometimes after sitting overnight the liquid that is left inside doesn't have the freshest taste.

I remember seeing a video review on the 306 atty and the reviewer changed juices while doing the video. I think he hit the atty till almost dry and then changed flavors. I think he only did it with 2 flavors but could be wrong. He started with one, dripped another and vaped, then dripped the original again. I have done this and have been able to taste the difference, but I pretty much only drip 1 juice all day and have no desire to add anything to the mix. It had taken a good 4-6 months to find my favorite and just stayed with that. I am a creature of habit and still don't understand why I should be vaping a Blueberry Waffle!!!! I never had an analog that tasted like that. I vape to keep myself off analogs and have found what tasted like the analog I was used too....

Im having the same issues...I use bridgeless attys though...1.5 LR 306s.

I prime them, hit it, add drops and I get a burnt taste...add a couple more drops and it gurgles and wont vapor...so I keep hitting it until the gurgle is gone and it doesnt taste like anything...so I keep hitting it until I get a burnt taste again to clear the flavorless juice and then add 3 more drops.

It hits well for a hit or two then I get a burnt taste...add a drop more and it gurgles...rinse and repeat.

I thought this was supposed to be the optimal way to vape...but flavor and performance are a total pain in the .....

These are good attys too...definitely not cheap. It just seems to me I get a much better experience out of cartos.

The one or two hits that work dripping taste great...but when you have to deal with 5 hits that dont work or taste like metal its a complete waste of time...and the fact that you have to keep monitoring it to make sure you are doing it right...its not necessarily a relaxing vaping experience.
