Dripping atty that won't leak out the bottom?

Hi All,

I'm looking to supplement my device lineup with a "dripping atomizer" -- I've seen a number of bridgeless options out there, and like what I'm reading about cisco's atomizers, though there's quite an array of choices on avidvaper, and it's hard to know exactly what will work best with the battery connections I have, or even if what I'm looking to do is possible.

I've got a couple of 3 ohm 510's that I'e been dripping into that came with my unbranded "lavatube", and they're OK, but my main issues are, on one end, having to clean out the battery connector all the time, and on the other end, nasty tasting hits. I'd basically like something where if I over-drip a little, all the juice stays inside the atty, or at least goes somewhere that can be cleaned, or poured out easily. Does that exist? I find if "over drip" I get fewer bad tasting hits, but it's a royal pain, and ultimately not worth doing, since I have to be constantly fiddling with the things, and even that doesn't eliminate the occasional yucky tasting hit.

Pretty much the exact same story with my Leo atomizers, they're either flooding or not tasting good, or worse: both.

Something easy to clean/dry burn would be a huge plus too.

I think I'm looking for a drip shield, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Ideally I'd like something I can use on my Leo batteries with a 510 adapter, as well as the native 510 on my LT. I'm totally fine with having to run a 510 extension or whatever.

I'll mostly use atomizers for tasting new juices, since I'm (mostly) happy with the tank systems (nova and DCT) I have for all-day vaping -- though my juices simply don't taste quite as good in anything but an atty, at least when I get a perfect hit from the atty, which is unfortunately less than half the time, so on average the tanks still win, hands down, since almost every hit is at least not bad.

Maybe a "bottom feeder" would be another way to get what I'm after?

Thanks for any pointers in the right direction.

I have 2 different 'dripping atomizers' with the plate w/ three holes on top of the coil. Both suck, IMO. Idk if I didn't give them enough time or whatever, but the taste was mediocre at best and the draw was kinda funky, like too tight. I have a HH357 that I'm in the process of breaking in, and its already like the best atty I've used. Too bad its sitting on my desk, waiting for more juice to feed it. Juicy Vapor is waiting for the flavoring for the oba oba tobacco juice that I'm using for it- I ran out almost 2 weeks ago and have been calling about every other day waiting for it to come in so I can fire up the HH again!

Ah! 306dca! I hadn't seen those before. Thanks! I have been wanting to try cisco's lr306, so that looks like just the ticket, and if it lives up to the description, will be a good investment.

I think that'll have to be my next new equipment purchase (along with a third tank). It's actually kind of a good thing they're out of stock, as I'm a bit "over-budget" at the moment in my vaping purchases...

I do want to try the HH, though I'm having a hard time considering $20 on something that I might wreck, especially with the kind of luck I've had with atomizers so far, though if I ever get one to operate consistently, I'll definitely have to give the HH a try. I don't suppose it would fit into a 306dca (doesn't look like it).

I never understood the claim that "dripping is the best flavor" until I started using the HH.357. I have two that I bought at VapeBash in Chicago. It wasn't until I bought a PV set up for dripping, The GLV3, that I seriously tried it. I've since come to agree.

If you decide to try them, note that the HH.357 will take at least a couple of days to break in. During the break in period, it will spit hot juice at you. Once you get them going though, they're amazing. Be sure to follow the simple cleaning instructions, and Hanna recommends to always have juice in them and never dry burn.

Even though I vape thick sweet juices, there's no build up on the coil. I don't understand why, but that alone makes me a huge fan. Before the HH.357, every cartomizer, clearomizer, and atomizer has gone bad or required extensive cleaning to keep it operating even at a reduced level.

In order to keep everything from being a mess, I recommend an Empire mods 901 drip shield, paired with their short 510-510 sealed connector.

So, you screw the connector onto your atomizer, the drip shield fits over both, Voila!, dripping with no leaking.

Here's a Grimm video, Lets Use Some Dripshields

Thanks for the drip shield info. I guess I'll have to (eventually) try both the 306dca and the hh with a drip shield :)

My juices already can taste better dripping on standard atomizers, so If the HH is that much better... hmmm.

One concept I like about the 306dca is that it functions as a heat-sink... which seems like a good idea, seeing how hot these things get.

I have a DCA on the way, I'll post when I get it to let everyone know how it is. Also, if your new to dripping and attys, I would def say to get some experience before going with a HH. You will know the process of dripping better, and then you will have the great surprise of it being even better than the already great atty taste.

the drip shield is a must for my joye atty. i could never seem to get good hits until i almost flooded it. i find that it needs just the right amount of juice to give good hits, which i definitely a learning experience.

my vision dual coil atty on theother hand holds sufficient juice and vapes well without a shield. the thing holds about a dozen drops :)

i think i may finally be "elligable" to graduate to the HH357. i really want one but i dont want to get it and be disappointed by me not knowing how to use the thing.
