I found also, if you simply remove the plastic cap, you can easily replace the rubber piece inside, and keep it right near the mouth end, almost as if it was the plastic cap..Helps keep liquid in where it should be..And you're right about these things being pretty awesome for dripping. I haven't figured out exactly how much they hold yet but it's quite a bit!

I've disassembled a couple of my cartomizers, and tried a couple of different ways of refilling/topping-off. What I've found to work best so far is:

1. Re-insert the cartomizer storage plug in the battery end of the cartomizer, and then cover with a cartomizer storage cap.

2. Using a tiny screwdriver or something comparable, gently pry out the white cap - while not sticking your pry tool in the center hole any more than is necessary to get the job done. (The white cap is actually a disc glued to a ring; so you want to be careful in removing it. If you pry too hard, and pull off only the disc, then you won't be able to put the white cap back on without re-creating the cap by re-gluing the disc to the ring.)

3. Using the same pry tool, gently pry up, and out, the little silicone ring - while avoiding any contact with the center wire that holds the heating coil.

4. Using a syringe with a needle, inject about a half a ml or more into the the outer ring of white material - sticking the needle inbetween the white material and the inner wall of the cartomizer body. I put about a quarter ml in on one side, and then shift to the opposite side to finish - which is once a sufficient degree of saturation appears to have been achieved. (I haven't actually tried it yet, but dripping a couple of small drops down the center hole as well may not be a bad idea.)

5. Re-insert the silicone ring into the cartomizer body, and gently push down in an even manner until it sits just above the white material.

6. Re-install the white cap, and the second cartomizer storage cap, and what you have is a good as new cartomizer for future use.

Ya thats pretty detailed but the cartomizers drip no problem. Just drip from your eye dropper right in the hole on the battery end. could not be easier. It sucks it up as if there is a little hamster in there drinking it.

I think that after all of my problems in dripping with my 901 (flooded atomizers, atomizers that don't last very long, juice in my mouth, etc.) that I've been a little averse to trying anything that involved dripping; but, if the dripping approach in this case can refill the cartomizer without tending to result in me getting juice in my mouth, then it may well prove to be the easiet way of going about refilling. Thanks for the counsel.

robw,

Well, 9 drops of juice is about 9 times as many as I could safely drip on my 901, but the 'internal paper' is itself wrapped with a semi-fluffy cotton-like material (and holds most of the juice); so I must wonder how much juice is actually getting transferred through the internal paper to the fluffy stuff when dripping. Any idea on what the volume of your 9 drops is?

Ben,

Gotta love the honesty in Chinese adverting, eh?

I dont know. Each eye dropper is a different diameter in eye opening size. One drop from a 10ml bottle is smaller that from a 30ml size bottle.

That is why you roll the cartomizer around, so no matter how much you put in it gets distributed.

I have been topping it off when I lose flavor. The thing that seems to make attys die is running dry, so Im trying to top off enough to keep it wet. Not that cartomizers are expensive, it is just good sense to stretch your e-cig dollar.

robw,

Gotch ya. Can't argue with that. But, I've found that the more I need to suck to get the juice atomizing well, the more likely my juice level is getting low (unless my battery is getting weak that is). So, all I do is start over with a new, or previously refilled, cartomizer whenever the struggle to the get the juice flowing gets a little too inconvenient. I try to avoid reaching the burnt internal paper/fabric stage; for, like you alluded to, that's when the coil can get so hot that it breaks. It does appear, however, that the coil in these atomizers would be much easier to rebuild than those which are housed in a micro-sized ceramic dish (like the 901). There are so many nice things about these cartomizers, I swear.

I just tried the dripping method, and it actually went quite smoothly. I used a total of 16 drops (with only the last one being wasted through the mouth end). I also had no problem with getting juice in my mouth - even though I put the cartomizer to use in pretty short order. Furthermore, it turns out that the 15 drops I was able to get in via dripping is approximately 0.5ml - which is at least comparable to what I've been able to get in via injection. Thus, even though I didn't find it quite as neat and tidy as the injection method, it is fair to say that the dripping method is an easy and effective means of refilling one's cartomizers. As for speed, both methods can be performed in about 60 seconds or so - with the injection method having a little steeper of a learning curve.

i was thinking about doing a close up video of dripping into the nebula cartomizers... but everyone seems to already have it down pat... ha ha ha ,

I don't, this is confusing me. But then I've only been vaping a couple of days and am starting to have a hard time getting a good throat hit.

I've made sure the battery is well charged, I've made sure he cart is filled, I've changed from the carts I have to fill to pre-filled carts and I always seem to get a few good hits and then almost nothing.

... I always seem to get a few good hits and then almost nothing.

There are basically three easy ways of getting a better hit:

1. Take a long, slow, and steady drag (as if you were trying to reach the 7 second automatic cut-off feature of the battery).

2. Using your thumb and index finger, hold your Nebula at the battery/cart connection (like you were trying to pinch it) - making sure that you are firmly covering up two of the four air hole notches.

3. Take 1 to 4 really short and quick drags (whatever it takes to get the juice vaporization process well under way), and then take in a nice long 3 to 6 second draw (like I mentioned in #1).

Depending on my mood (and the amount of juice in my cart), I tend to bounce back and forth between methods 1 and 3; while occasionally using the hole-block method to speed up the initiation of juice vaporization. But, even when I use the hole-block method, I tend to back my fingers off of the holes during the final draw. For, otherwise, the vapor and atomizer get too hot; and the quality of hit suffers.

Hope this helps.

Would have to be a REALLY small hamster:D. That mich nicotine is gonna kill him pretty quick. 8-oDo they sell replacement hamsters for the cartomizers??
