Ok i wanted to try and drip with my 510 - i heard it is a great model to drip with since i have manual battery

so I took out my stuffing in my cartridge and put 2 drops in the atomizer and then put the cartridge back in

and tried to inhale

but nothing came out barely got any vapor at all was afriad to do it too long before burning out my atomizer

so then i went back and put 4 more drops..and all that happened this time is i flooded the atomizer and liquid came out of the bottom by the battery

is it suppose to be this hard to drip?

any tricks?

I'm new to all of this too, but I've been dripping with the 510, the 801 and the RN4081 and haven't had a problem with any of them. Not sure what you may be doing. Sorry. But I just wanted to answer so you would know you're not being ignored.

I drip 3 to 4 drops in each one of them and vape away.

I will be doing my first dripping tomorrow (w/ 510 also), so I could also use some helpful tips so I dont go messing stuff up!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Best advice i can give you is only drip with manual batteries. The switches on the automatic ones seem to be pretty sensitive to juice gumming them up.

btw my 510 works great with a cartridge filled to the top, both of my batteries are manual

i jsut wanted to try dripping as a change so if it was a bad battery or atomizer would it also not work with a filled cartridge as well?

so basically just put in 3-4 drops?

when you drip do you hold it vertically? or horizontally?

usually i hold mine horizontal but on a slant with the tip towards down

Quick Question in the middle here:

Can you fill the cartridges with liquid AND drip on the atty? Is that too much liquid? Little of both? I just want my first experiment tomorrow to go great.

Also, when I drip, do I just use a blank cartridge? Any suggestions?

Just make sure your cart is wet at the end contacting the atty, then you can put a couple of drops right on the atty.....I often drip with a crt that has no stuffing in it.

Hold the e-cig upright (vertical).

Drip 2 drops onto the bridge of the atomizer (the part that points up).

Do NOT run it down the side of the atomizer. Do NOT use more than 2 drops at a time. Do NOT redrip before vapor production starts dropping off.

If you think you have flooded the atomizer, unscrew it and blow through it from the threaded side of the atomizer. If liquid runs out from doing that then your atomizer may very well have been flooded. Screw it back onto the battery and try a short pull before dripping any more liquid. If the atomizer was flooded, then chances are you still have enough liquid inside the atomizer even after blowing out the excess.

Think about it this way. If you take a pot and fill it with a quarter inch of water and place it on a hot burner the water will start to boil pretty quickly. If you take that same pot and fill it with six inches of water it is going to take much longer before it boils.

Your e-cig works the same way. To much liquid will just drown the vapor production.

Correct if it is not working with a regular filled cartridge it is not going to work dripping. Try a different atomizer or battery

Yeah its not really an exact science i just usually put three drops in...to many you'll flood the atomizer(to much liquid and the coil can't heat up)

I hold mine so the battery is basicly pointing at my keyboard it should work no matter how you hold it...i just feel like there is less chance of sucking liquid out when its tilted a little downwards(since i have guts in my cartridge every once and a while i get a splash of juice no big deal)

when you put drip of liquid on atomizer on a 510 specifically? are you dropping it in the center on the bridge or trying to get on the coil under the bridge?

or it doest not matter?

Try to drip it in the center i don't notice that much difference when it hits the bridge or drops in the gap next to it...it will eventually work its way down there

LOL, I guess I've been dripping wrong from the git-go. I never have a cartridge in mine. I just drip on the atomizer and vape. Is that wrong? Why have an empty cart in there?
Because the atomizer on a 510 gets way hot.

Elendil does not have a 510 as far as I know. In discussion he has told me the only PV's he has are a screwdriver and a 901. the atomizer on a 901 does not get anywhere close to how hot a 510 gets.

BTW
I use 901 tips with the edn caps removed on my 510 because I think the 510 carts are horrible to suck through.

When ya'll speak of a cart you're talking of the removable cartridge that has the fiber in it right? I have removed mine from the 510 and it seems to work fine. Maybe I'm expressing this wrong. I guess with the 510 I should say an empty cart, i.e. no fiber. There's no way on any of these e-cigs I've got (801, 510 and RN4081) I'd not have a cart., I just have empty carts. Is that basically what ya'll are saying, empty carts?

Sigh, still learning the lingo I guess.
