Hey y'all.

I started dripping tonight because I'm not liking the flavor I get from the filler in my carts. Icky. I have a very particular sense of taste and smell and I just can't get past the 'plastic-ish' flavor I get.

So with that said, I'm getting AMAZING and perfect flavor from dripping, but I noticed that I have a sore throat. Anybody else have the same issue?

I cleaned the primer by soaking my attys in hot water and then burning off the primer and priming them with juice, so I don't think it's the primer, but maybe I didn't get it all off.

Any ideas?

I completely quit analogs 3 weeks ago, and I have had a slight sore throat a couple of days in there, but not sure if it coincided with dripping. I am dripping tonight since I got about 15 liquids to try. I will probably end up with a head ache as well.

I notice that dripping my 510 really lets flavor thru especially on the ones with more suttle flavor. I can vape with a cart happily with more flavorful juices, like the sweet cinnamony ones.

Have you tried pyramid tea bag mods instead of the filler in the carts? Great you tube videos on how to do it. No bad taste when liquid runs low IMO.

Even though you figured your issue out, I'm bored, it's late, and there may be others that benefit from our pain :) So.
Sore throat can be everything from a coincidence to the mixture/type of e-liquid. I've had multiple sore throats since quitting smoking and you have to discern what the cause is. Outside of sinus issues, I have certain e-liquids that almost immediately dry me out and give me a sore throat (for lack of better vernacular). When I'm using the ones I know do that, I take care to drink something with or after the vape and it has taken care of it. Then, like you mentioned, there's the whole "swallowing the liquid" thing, I learned that one the hard way! You can also figure out if it's the flavoring or the PG/VG combination that is the trouble for you, OR, if it's the atty and the way it burns. It's good though not to automatically assume one particular cause upon presenting with the soreness (or other symptoms) because it does seem to follow different patterns. While so many people will excuse everything from having a sore throat, to your cats and dogs sleeping together with your quitting smoking, any health related issue should be evaluated by a professional to be on the safe side. I just wish I knew why I have started craving small woodland creatures. Must be because I quit analogs.

LOL@Sardonic!!! I was wondering where the small woodland creature craving was coming from and now I know!

Seriously, though, you have to drink a ton of water when you vape. I had a sore throat for 2 weeks before I started reading posts on this forum; I was not drinking nearly enough and my throat feels better when I have some VG in the juice base. I'm not sure about my minimum VG % yet, but I'm having fun experimenting!
