Dropped my Riva - should I discard?

I dropped my EM-Riva yesterday on hard tile. The chrome band housing the switch popped off the black casing. Wires and contacts appear to be intact. The battery seems to work fine with no excess heat production. Should I discard this battery or will a spot of glue and observation during charging be generally safe? Pictures of exploding batteries have me a shade paranoid.

The only advice I have to offer is that if you keep the Riva you need to be super vigilant about watching it while you're charging and use with caution. Think everyone gets nervous about battery safety and if you are able, for the relatively low cost of a Riva, order another battery and throw it out.

Should be fine, you are not supposed to leave them unattended when charging anyway.

I'd watch it and keep it. The earlier advice about being careful when charging is good, but in my experience Pvs are tougher than most people would suspect. Now if you had dropped it in the toilet I would say pitch it for sure :)

I'd vote for this...................................:2cool:

Another watch & keep-

Some of the things I've done to my batteries-

1. Sat on it and bent it so the carto is at an angle. No, I don't weigh 500 lbs, it was on the bed and I sat on it to put my shoes on.

2. Dropped it in a paint tray. Actually got most of the paint off

3. Dropped it in the toilet. I was cleaning the bathroom and my pv was on the counter. I sort of hit the pv, it hit the wall and sort of ricocheted off the wall and landed in the toilet. Clean toilet, but still. I threw the cart & tip away and dried out the battery but can't bring myself to use it. That's my zombie apocalypse battery.

While I am new to the forum, I'm nearly 2 years into vaping and i wholeheartedly agree with the above post!

I know that Rivas aren't exactly the same as the 510's I'm used to but as far as i'm aware, they are similar in construction. And i have been everything but gentle on my ego and 510 batteries, and with the exception of 1 ego battery going south on me after a single 3 foot drop, I've never had any issues with dropping batteries. LIke everyone else has said, I'd just keep an eye on it.
