I'm not familiar with the Lux. With my PV I stitched my cart stuffing to blue foam and now when it need to be topped off or refilled it mostly just tastes dry w/ less vapor rather than tasting burny.

This search brings up some videos about blue foam mod
Google

The actual foam is Marineland Rite-Size U foam sleeve from the aquarium department at Petsmart etc. You may have to fiddle a bit to get the right shape and size pieces cut for your carts but I like it a lot better than that fiberfill white stuff.

Hiya Maiswind,

Welcome to ECF!

I use VG only and use the drip method- no cartridges. Are you using carts or the drip method? Irregardless, if it tastes dry and burned, it's NOT flooded! It needs more juice! When it gets to the dry burned point, take off your cartridge or drip tip, put 2 drops on the silver bridge thing in your atomizer, add some drips to your cart and then puff.

If it's flooded, it doesn't taste burned. It makes a gurgling drowned sound and doesn't produce much vapor and has a hard draw (makes the inhale really hard to do).

Good luck and keep asking us any questions you have:) vaping is so much fun and makes quitting so easy:)

One reason it might get too dry is if you burn through the juice faster than it can wick up more.
That is why people experiment with different kinds of filler materials to use in their cartridges.

See this subforum for more information: Cartridge Mods

If you take only a drag or two every now and then, you should be fine.
But if you use these like a cigarette, the wicking process will have trouble keeping up.

Thanks for all the feedback, guys :) I was only filling carts before, but now I drip when it gets that burnt taste, which does help for the next 5-10 draws. I use only blue foam, which was working very well, and hadn't had this problem until recently. I've been playing around with the length and width of the foam to see if maybe that will help.

DC2- I was wondering exactly that, if maybe I was just puffing too frequently. I'll slow it down and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks again!
