Z atty U no taste with Bobas Bounty

So the title pretty much says it. I can't taste Bobas with my Z Atty U on VMAX at 8-9 watts, but I can with evod and pro tank. I'm getting tons of vapor with bobas, but no taste at all. It feels like I'm just getting wet air. I'm pretty sure my coil and wick are fine. This has occurred since I received the z-atty with preinstalled wick/coil. I re-wicked and re-coiled it with no improvement. Coil is heating evenly starting from the center. Hole is lined up with wick (have tried it slightly offset). I have the 400 SS wick on it now; not sure which came pre installed. Any ideas?
