I did it today. rinsed it in water for a little, dried it off, pulled the wick out and screwed it back into the base. Fired it for a little until the coils were bright orange then rewicked. Think I should have rinsed in water again because it taste a little funky

Why do u pull the wicks out?

I usually discard the flavor wicks, but the coiled wick I'll leave in place and AFTER getting all the gunk off with a small brush, dry burn the DAMP wick/coil in 2 - 3 second bursts until the wick is pure white and coil glows bright orange evenly and quickly. Then replace the flavor wicks with 2 pieces of 1 mm silica wick. My coils last for over a month and like you I use them in a rotation.
