Dry burning question

I have some coils (Aspire BDC) that i cant easily disassemble to remove wicks prior to dry burning. Is it OK to just dry burn without removing any wicks?

Are the wicks silica?

If so, shorts bursts of dry burning should be fine.

If the wicks are cotton, do not dry burn.

lol cotton loves to heat up Q_Q... lost some pretty decent wicks when i first started with it.

I have no idea what the wicks are made of-- they are entirely contained in a mini-cartomizer type of enclosure for these heads.

They are probably silica, but wait for someone with Aspire experience to verify.

Honestly, unless you can find that coil online, and read what kind of mats were used.. (what kinda wick setup they put in there) I wouldn't dry burn it.. the cotton will catch fire.
