Dry cartomizer or dead atomizer?

Hi everyone,

I'm using South Beach Smoke cartomizers until I can afford to get a real setup. Anyway, I've been having trouble figuring out exactly when my cartomizers are dry. I've noticed a taste change in some of them, but they continued to produce moderate amounts of vapor. I just tried a couple of them on a freshly charged battery and got almost nothing out of it. Does that mean that the cartomizer is finally dry, or has the atomizer inside died? I would have expected to get a bunch of horrible smoke from the filler if it was actually dry, but I'm really not sure since I've never actually refilled one yet.

Where you least expect it....
Generally, you need to top off your cartomizer after about 10-15 drags. Which means you should drip 5 drops into it.

As with some of what you've described. A change in flavor is one of the signs. Also, it's the easiest indicator for many..

Cartomizers are meant to be disposable and there's a high chance some are DOA. So, if they aren't performing on your freshly charged battery. More than likely they're duds. You could check if they're flooded. Just blow them out onto a napkin.

In addition, you should always keep the filler material in cartomizers saturated. If they get dry and burn, then you should throw them away. If not, then your going to inhale smoke instead of vapor.
