SMOKTech Tank DC cartomizers -- is a couple days all I'm supposed to get?

After getting a little tired of fussing with my ego-t atomizers which were giving me dry hits and burned plastic taste all the time, I bought a SMOKTech 510 DC tank kit in 1.5ohm from MyVaporStore, and I absolutely love it.

The only problem is that I'm only getting a couple of days out of the cartomizers that came with it. After about 2 days the taste just seems to go bad with them. I've tried re-wetting the filler with a syringe, but that doesn't seem to help any, what I add seems to just dribble out the bottom with some particulates suspended in it. Cleaning (soak in hot water for a few hours followed by 12+ hours of drying) hasn't really helped either.

I'm doing 2-3 ml of 70/30 liquid a day through them. Is 2 days about a normal lifespan for these? Can I do anything to lengthen it?

I used to only get one or (maybe) two good days out of my cartos. Then I switched juice. Some juices just don't do good in a carto. I diy my own juice and now get at least a week (and more( out of a single one. I still don't understand how when I used tasty vapor's waffle or tastyfinger, I could only get a day but when I used KBV warm sugar cookie, I could get a good week or more. I once got 5 really good weeks out of a smoktech dc carto using a caramel capp mix.

I usually toss them after one week now. I just feel safer doing that. I've read so much about mold and/or nasty stuff accumulating in the cartos after time. At a little over $1 each, I feel that I've got my money's worth if they last a week.

ive been using my dc tank now for 3 weeks and have had no problem what so ever. when i was looking for a tank i really wanted the map ce2 tank but could not find it, so i got the dc tank. was worried at first cause of the very small whole but it wicks beautifully. i have been using pink spot vapors juice and dont know the pv vg mix. ive been using the same carto for 3 weeks and its still working after 2 cleanings.

I had issues with the SMOKTech Tank DC cartomizers, and I wanted to like them sooooo, soo much. *sigh* I bought two. One gave me issues from the start- (same as Grammacool) it wouldnt wick properly. No matter how thick or thin the juice was- I kept getting dry hits. The second kept flooding my carto- even with an uber thick juice. So they were a no-go, even after fiddling with them, disassembling/reassembling, different juice, changing out the O ring etc... I put them both in the "dud" drawer- now I am anxiously awaiting my Fluxomizer and Vision "Extreme Giant."

ThatOtherBadfrog - maybe try another juice and see if it helps. Also, if you havent already, make sure you blow the center of the carto out if its flooded; that will help get rid of any "ick-juice." Good luck!

Love these tanks! I have found the juice affects lifespan more than anything, especially in the tank. With toasted tobacco (75PG) I got a week tops & usually 2-3 days from one. Very thick juice.

With cake batter (80PG) I got 1-2 days max. Not a thick juice but very sedimentary.

With french vanilla (80PG) I am rolling 2 weeks plus with the single coils without cleaning or anything. Can put 50 ml through those bad boys, easy... very clean juice.
