Dry Coil No Liquid

Hello to all Vapers in eciq forum. I know this might be a dumb question and might have been discussed so many times, but I just can't seem to find the answer. My problem is with TC, I'm using Ti 24g wire and did a 10/11 wrap on a 3mm drillbit with a muji pad scottish roll. I've done all the procedure to use TC, but when I hit the fire button, it'll just let out a slight vapor and then the Dry Coil No Liquid comes out. I adjusted the Joules from 10 to 70 and still get the same result. The difference is just the time that takes to get to the Dry Coil No Liquid screen might be sligtly longer. Am I messing something up or is my ipv4s crapped? Anything else works fine btw

If your temp is too low or your watts/Js too high...
What temp are you using?

It sounds to me like a wicking issue. When using cotton, even KGD, if it's too much, it won't wick properly and I'll get the dry coil.

I don't think it's the wattage, cause I cranked the joules everywhere. Wicking issues might be it, but what I recently found out, I did a resistance lock again after the Dry Coil thingy came up, I can vape like normal. Is this a problem too? Thanks guys for the reply

Set your resistance with the atty cold when you first put it on. That is the normal operation for using TC on yihi boards, otherwise you'll get the dry coil no liquid error.

Thanks ThunderDan, but for now my issue is opposite of the solution. This is so mind bending. I have to get to the Dry Coil screen first, the lock resistance again, the only it'll vape fine.

The last time I got that error, I changed my wick and was good to go

Just guessing, sounds like wick to me. Since you're using cotton, I'll guess again you're using too much. With cotton, less is more. It should slide freely through the coil, and not move the base and coil stand around the table when pulled back and forth. And do lock resistance when cold.

Thanks all! Turns out it is the wicking issue, but sometimes i just for the m'fer by locking the resistance again after the dry coil thingy. Example, the first resistance lock is 0.34ohm then the next I did was around 0.46ohm...so I think that works. And I am vapig good...
