Dry Hits but with lots of Vapor?

Hi All,

First, wanted to thank everyone for convincing me to get my first REO!
Was finally able to pick up my first SL/LP Reo Mini a few days ago from the post office, and just have a few questions.

I got a EmpireMods Bridge Free LR510 1.8ohm, since the atomizers on Reosmods were all sold out and EmpireMods' B&M shop is less than 3 miles away from me.

I'm getting dry hits on it like 1 out of every 3 times, and sometimes even directly after I squonk. I also get a lot of vapor during those dry hits. I squonk every 3 drags too... When it goes well, it's great! But when it doesn't... Well you know how unpleasant dry hits are..

What am I doing wrong?

Actually those EmpireMods Bridge Free LR510 were my attys of choice before the RM2. Though I had similar issues, they weren't as bad as what your having. I don't have a solution for you unfortunately but I think its because your saying your getting big vapor with dry hits. All I can say is when I used them I needed to squonk way more often than with a rba and dry hits were harsh and little vapor. I still have a few and just threw one on and to be honest it worked as I remembered. As a matter of fact my squonks tend to flood it more often than not due not being use to using them for quite a while. Wish I could be of more help.

It's weird because I would get more vapor with my dry hits, than my good hits. And I thought that you weren't suppose to get any vapor with dry hits?

Have you tried the blind squonk?

Without pressing the fire button.
Draw air in while you squonk
You should feel a slight increase in pressure right before you get a gurgle, this is the ideal place to stop squonking. If you miss it stop at the first hint of a gurgle.

Your "good hits", none dry, might actually be flooded, this would cause a drop in vapor.

Filthy-Beast - Have tried blind squonking, but seems like all the air that I'm drawing is from the airholes, rather than the bottle. And because the airholes are recessed, they're hard to cover with just your thumb.

Seems like the RM2 is the natural progression of things! Is "low profile reomizer works with lp mods only" the RM2? I couldn't find anything that specifically says LP RM2.

Yeah sorry I'm of no help man but I just got a REO 3 days ago myself but with an RM2 - absolutely no problems. Dry hits only occur if I forget to squonk every 3-6 hits. It's worth the extra money, without having used your atty I'd wager the RM2 would help a lot...

If you are pressing the bottle and drawing in air at the same time (blind squonk) then at some point the air holes will get juice to that level. the main juice delivery is still the pressing of the bottle you're drawing in air to help juice go up into the atty instead of flowing out the air holes into the catch cup.
