Might have your cotton wick twisted to tight to flow as fast as your vaping. Turn down the watts. I'm running my Kanger Sub with the builders coil (4.5 ml tank.5 ohm) at 25W. I twisted fairly tight, but I only made the wicks like bunny ears and stuffed down the sides which leaves the coil screws showing. I can hit that about 4 times pretty hard with out it getting dry.

I'm a little over a month into vaping and got a subox nano last week. I keep getting dry hits and it's driving me nuts!

I'm using max VG with a .5 coil. When I get a good hit I love my nano. But most of the time now all I'm getting is icky and not flavorful at all. I'm guessing that means dry hit from what I've read. Any advice?

If you've been using it for a week on the same head you might want to change to a new head. Max VG can shorten head life. Sweet and/or dark juices will also cause your heads to gunk up faster.

Lowering the power (watts) will also make it less prone to dry hits.

Hope that helps :)

It's a new coil I just changed it out yesterday.

I'm running it at 20w but I'll try going down.

Welcome my friend. (This is a place I will test my english :) )
Max VG is not fluid enough to be absorbed by wick.
Keep your wicks longer
wait untill your wicks soaked
put 1-2 drops of alchool (Vodka they suggest) to the liquid to enchance the fluidity of your liquid (or distilled water)
You're English is very good!

Do I add the distilled water to my tank or too the bottle of juice?

I don't have that tank, but from what I've read about it 20 watts shouldn't be too much for it. If you did OK with the first head with the same juice you might have a head that's not as good as the first one, or maybe the first one was better than average. Also make sure you prime a new head properly. If you get too much juice in it you can generally blow though the drip tip to clear it through the air hole. IMO it's better to flood a new head than to vape it too dry at first.

I also agree with the advice to try thinning your juice a bit. I sometimes mix high VG juices and have added water to it for use in tanks. I find 20% is too much but 5-10% is enough to thin it for the tanks I was using and that's what I stuck with. When I first experimented with it I put 10 ml in a bottle and added 1/2 ml water to make it 5%. I used tap water until I knew this was something I would continue to do and then bought a bottle of distilled. You can try thinning with PG also, but you'll need to add more of it to get the same viscosity so it will dilute your flavors more.

Tap water has all kinds of stuff in it you don't want to be vaping (chlorine, fluoride, etc.) Just get the distilled, they have it by the gallon in any grocery store. It costs like a dollar.
