"Dry" juice

So I've been experimenting with cola flavors. Cherry cola and vanilla cola came out pretty good and the lime cola is downright yummy. So here's a question for you guys - ever have a juice that seems to be dry? Feels like its drying out your entire mouth. Almost like your vaping cotton. if so what causes it?
I mixed up some cola on its own and it's definitely the culprit. I once had a gingerbread that was the same dry feeling.
Ideas??

Yep, it happens all the darn time. Finding the key to making it go away without killing what you're attempting can be tough.

Here's a reason why it's tough because I've found each of these things to be the answer at some point...
Cinnamon
Marshmallow
EM
a Raspberry that by itself is dry
Spearmint
Butterscotch
C or M acid

All of them were tiny amounts. There are many times I have given up too because I couldn't find something to do it and got bored chasing it.
