Anyone have any place they use to find out what % to use for FlavourArt? I have found SOME in here and another resource is flavor reviews on liberty flights (if someone happened to share what works for them.)

It would be nice if ECF had some system for people voting on their favorite percentages. The diy eliquid threads listing is not very good for this.

I think Flavour Art themselves recommends starting at one percent especially on the tobaccos. I have found their flavors to be consistently strong some requiring no more than one drop for my delicate buds. I scream into a pillow when I read that some people are using 5 percent and way above of any of their flavors. These are super concentrated at least to me which makes them a good buy if you like the flavor and want to keep your juices light for cartos.

I too would love to see a post that asks people about what percentages they generally use but I'd bet it would vary wildly from person to person and from recipe to recipe. Taste is just so completely subjective.

As a person that is currently vaping a FA Tobacco Royal at 12%, I fully agree!

So, Matt-T, you can go with a hint of a trace, or all out and someone here will be doing the same.

The thing about the tobaccos, and I've said this before, is the taste you get from 2% is nothing like the taste you get at 10%. Both can be great, just different. Just like the Royal I'm vaping at 12% now, and enjoying, I was vaping at 4% yesterday and enjoying, but it is not the same taste. It is so different that if I did not have the bottles labeled, I would never know it is the same flavoring.

I have no idea where I'm at
Hoosier had a nice write-up about it, going too far over makes it taste like you forgot to add flavor. After a day I think it is starting to settle down, it doesn't smell as flowery, If it turns out too much, I will add more DW and base liquid. I will say that the blackberry was perfect and completely smokable right off, but today it was perfect. I had only made a small batch, but this morning I threw together a 5ml now that I know the strenth is right. Ended up putting 10% in.

Matt -- I got my FA from LF, but they have a lot of other brands too. The flavor reviews are ok, but they rarely mention %, some say "a little goes a long way" or something to that effect, but I guess since everyone has their own preferences, then start low and work up as needed. I was thinking of 5%, but ended up with 10%, but as it steeps, I may have to add enough base to work my way backwards and end up with 5%.

Someone posted this link awhile back for FA flavors. - no title specified
I've used it as a good starting place for new flavors.

Interesting. We need some sticky's like this in the DIY section with either a poll or with those who have been diying for a long time listing their recommended strengths of the different main flavor companies we use. I doubt anyone has used all the flavors of any one company but some kind of compilation would really take some of the mystery out of getting started. It would be so helpful to us noobs.

Interesting list Iffy.

Some of them I completely agree with and others I find way off. Being without my mixing notes atm, the ones I agree with are:
Coconut 10%
Oba Oba 10%
Peppermint 5%

Way off (Again without my mixing notes anywhere near me):
Vanilla Bourbon 13-20% (Depending on the effect you're going for here...)
Caramel 12-14% (Depending on how sweet you like it.)
Licorice is way low, but I cannot remember the last time I mixed it. (I am a huge licorice fan though, so I may need it much stronger than most could handle.)

WOW, nice spreadsheet!

I must say that the percentages do seem a bit low. But I'm not a master DIYer either.

Nonetheless, great project!

The percentages in the list are what individual people like and tried out, together with FA's own recommendations (Thats for the FA sheet).

It is by no means authorative, but its a start for someone who begins with the DIY.

I personally use more flavour than the average in that list, but that is mostly because I vape at nonic or very low nic strengths. No nic liquid is a completely different beast in my experience.
