Due to all the bans on vendors shipping liquids, my goto has closed shop to wholesale only. The liquid was made around 50/50. I've been attempting to try DIY and i'm having a super specific issue.

Nic strength 1.2%
Flavor % 10-12
Ratio: 50PG/50VG

Anyways, onto the issue. It's a dessert/custardish vape that has been steeping for about a month now, but everytime i vape it... i get an extreme dry mouth sensation. I'm looking for a more 'wet' feel.

Main flavor is Cap custard v2 at around 8%, it also includes about 1% of cap sweetener along with a couple other flavors.

Is there anything i can do to fix this?

You could try adding a fruit flavor, like CAP Sweet Strawberry or Inawera Raspberry. That will add a little wetness to the mix.
Some flavorings are drier than others.
A lot of people use FA Pear at less than one percent specifically to add wetness or juiciness to some mixes.

Another option would be to lower your overall percentage of flavor. You might be happy with 3-4% Custard. If you are doing a tight airflow mouth to lung vape, you might want more flavor though.

I'd prefer not to add any fruit flavors as i've been a custard vaper for about 5 years now.

Is it possible for the nicotine/pg/vg brand to cause this as well?
I don't have a lot of experience with different brands of base vg/pg/nic, I've really only used two suppliers, the first for a couple years and the second just over the last 2 months.
I did notice that the VG from the new source comes off a little drier and almost bland in comparison to the first. It's subtle, and it doesn't bother me, but I think I can sense it in the finished e-liquid. When I put a drop of pure VG on my tongue it seemed ever so slightly less sweet and "drier". Again, this is not really so different that it bothers me at all really.
The first supplier was Nicotine River, the second is Bull City Flavors.

"Wetness:
Some flavors within a mix will trigger a dry response just because we involuntary react to them in this fashion.
I have read that some fruits such as INA Cactus, Fuji Apple,Pear,Oba Oba,distilled water,FA fresh cream or meringue tend to help moisten a flavor 1-2 drops each.
EM or DWV is also known as Cotton Candy. Often referred to as a sweetener, though it really isn't. At low percentages, around 0.5-1% may add body, moisture."
