Dry yucky Skin?

8 days of vaping. Analogs gross me out.
energy,
happy.
BUT
my beautiful face skin in the last 3 days got dry, lifeless , kind of grayish.
Don't want the usual answer of :
"your body is getting rid of all the toxins from years of smoking". i know that.

i wanna know if anybody experienced a yucky skin when quitting Analogs,
and how long did it it take to get back to normal!

Yes I did.
Took about 3 weeks for it to recover.
Used lots of lotion and treated myself to a couple facials.
Self massaged scalp, neck, and face to keep blood flowing.

Really Paula? I think my skin looks better since vaping. I know vaping is dehydrating and there's nothing better for your skin anyway than drinking water. I wonder what the reason is?

My skin looks great now. But when I first started vaping, it took about 3 weeks of going through ashy color, and dry facial skin. I've been tobacco free for 11months now.

I was responding to the op who has been vaping for 8 days and wanted to know if anyone else experienced this and what they did for it.

I'm still old, but I think I look pretty good for an old chick

Maybe there is some kind of detox thing that goes on? I know I felt really tired when I first started vaping but for me, the increase in water helped that too. Now I carry a jug of it around.

About a month in, I had dry skin, itchy, dandruff for the first time in my life, itchy throat and mouth. Someone (can't remember who) suggested I may be sensitive to PG so I switched to all VG and all of that cleared up in about a week. Something easy to try since there are a lot of vendors that offer some great juices in low or no PG.

I have been vaping for about a month and half now and the dry skin finally went away around week 4. I also think it might depend on the person and body size,it lasted about 2 weeks for my friend, and I know that there could also be several other reasons, so I hope that it gets better for you and good luck.

Drink more water! I know others already said it, but it can't be stressed enough. Get a good exfoliating face scrub, like St. Ives Apricot scrub. It's cheap, smells great and works like a charm! That's about the only cheap face care that I use. I'm just a bit of M.A.C fanatic with everything else.

I also had itchy skin for about a month. My face was fine but the rest of my body was so dried out. I started drinking lot's of water and bought some gold bond lotion.

That is exactly what I have been doing.

Seriously, that is what it is mostly used for. My back tends to be very dry (love long hot showers) so I mixed 1/2 vg and 1/2 water in a spray bottle so I could just spray it on my back and it has worked wonders. Haven't had to ask the wife to put lotion on my back since I started to vape.

I thought it was something related to detoxing from cigarettes.

I went though it for the first 3 weeks as I was purging my....oh you don't want to hear that. Afterwards I did have a bout with dry patches in localized area of my left cheek oddly enough. Started playing around switching juices and discovered I had a reaction to certain fruit juices. Outside of that my wife says my skin looks healthier.
