My 901 is like completely sucking in air. I dont really care for it much. Its like i suck on it and hear the whistle or whatever.. feels like sucking through a big straw. Doesnt have the feel of a cigarette

That's why I gave up on the 901. The draw is too hard.

Now use the 801... Night/Day difference.

Agreed. Flavor is good, but the draw is too hard for a vape with no throat hit; it's just not worth bothering.

In my side by side tests of 901/JS with 801/510 manual, I cam to a very scientific conclusion:

901: It served a purpose as it was my introduction to vaping... next stop, the Classified to sell them.
JS and 510: You'll have to pry them from my cold, dead hands, and I'll still put up a fight!

My first model was the Fifty-one. Okay but couldn't reload the cartridges—anyone interested in everything but the carts for the Fifty-one, let me know.
I've owned four models. Well, actually three since two were 901's which I got from two different suppliers. The first 901 was so-so at first but improved with age. Knowing it was about to give out, I ordered another one. About the same time, I ordered my mini.
The second 901 sucked big time.
I've had it for quite a while now and used it only a few hours. It's the most frustrating thing ever.
The mini was awesome which makes it hard to really break in the 901 to see if it improves with age which I doubt because I’m pretty sure it’s the batteries.
Unfortunately I ordered extra atomizers. I’ve pretty much decided to build Nicostick Pass-through’s for home and the car for them.

Are the carts on the 51 the same as the kr-808?

That's weird... Usually the 510 atty's hold up great... Thats why lots of people prefer 510 atty's on there mod's... that and the vapor of-course
I don't get it either....
I'm not having much luck with my 401 as well... can't seem to have an atomizer last any more than a WEEK...:( 3 in as many weeks.....

what is a js?

Yeah the smoking experience with my 901 is nothing that great. Plus I have to keep dripping like crazy to get a throat hit and good vapor. I dont know why people say one cart lasts as long as a half pack of cigs. or that people only use six drops a day. after about 15 good pulls of vapor, i have to drip more juice into the cartridge.

i killed two 901 atomisers in a week ... havent killed a 510 atomiser in 7 months .... they do get a bit of a funny taste to them after a while but i never blow them *snigger* or drain them .....

it really seems to be luck of the draw...sometimes I think the problems stem more from what day they were made rather than what model.
As far as durability goes, I've had great luck with both models

hahaha true .. but this shouldnt be the case ... if i plastered a wall on a friday i wouldnt expect it all to be on the floor by midweek!! ... still the biggest advantage of a 510 that everyone seems to forget is that there is virtually no juice in the mouth

Not quite my point... More like , you never buy a car that was made Monday or A Friday..lol
If overfilled.. Juice ends up in mouth.. However the 510 does hold allot more juice

Right on the money ;) Another way to get juice in the mouth is to let it drip down the SIDE of the cart....

It's simple; don't OVERFILL or SLOPPILY FILL your carts and you get NO JUICE in your mouth!

It took me a while to get it right....:lol:

I know it's been awhile, but I am still testing the 4 e-cigs. So far they are all still working
I had hoped to kill 1 or 2 batt's\atty's before my finial review, but it's not looking good.lol This is allot harder than you would think.
I even tried passing the torch to another reviewer.. No luck:confused: (any takers?)

Anyway, Just wanted to let those of you still interested that I am still doing it, and didn't give up. However I did take a break for a few days to try my new DSE-601..

Will give them till end of month, and post my findings:thumb:

Thanks

In about a month and a half of 510 vaping i got the following results:

-First atomizer lasted 3 weeks of vaping like a champ, then suddenly didn't produce much. And nothing i could do brought him back to its original shape.

-Second atomizer vaped for 2 days then suddenly died...incidently at the exact moment the post office was handing me my 3rd atomizer.

-Third atomizer was like "wow" the first week, then suddenly dropped its production of vapor and throat hit significantly...But not enough to throw it away...That's 2 weeks of vaping with it till now.

As for the 901...Well...It has some serious flavor restitution...Way better than the 510...but with much less throat hit.

And...It has this awful semi-gargling sound at the start of each suction, even if the atty is not flooded...then you have to push hard on the draw to get it to work, even if the draw is smooth in itself...yet the battery needs a little harder draw to function, compared to the 510. I think that with a manual battery it would be ok though.

Anyway, with the automatic battery, i kind of solved the problem by covering 1 third of the hole the 901 atomizer has, with a tiny piece of tape...Thus readjusted the pressure that controls the flow, enough to have a more pleasant draw, without cutting much air on the atty.

I think that the hole on the 901 atty is a little bigger than it should be IMHO.

I'm still at my second week of vaping with the 901, and i still didn't decide which of the 510 or the 901 is better....But it will come up soon enough i'm sure.
