DSE 905 Screwdriver issues

Just got my boyfriend a screwdriver mod and in 48 hrs I want to send it back, but he is so stubborn. lol.

Any help would be much appriciated-
The LED keeps going out.
Our guess is its getting juice from the 306 he tends to use, but he keeps an adapter & extender on the 306 so it's a long way to fall.
How do I make him stop this LED issue or was this just a bad buy?

Unfortunetly its probably a bad buy. The official screwriver from Totally wicked is a fully mechanical mod, so juice wont ruin it, and have been known for years. I would look into them. If there too much for you guys new, theres some good deals on the classifieds.
