IDK GPS done gone'n broke
Hi, am ordering a DSE-905 V4 cannot tell from the pics what battery it uses, read elsewhere here these batts do not specify protected, they have the idents that typify protected batteries, but rather be safe than sorry and have a small arsenal of batts on hand..so what number are these?

The cheapest reliable source for em would be great as well.

I am also considering the vg soaked snus mini portion thing Toprical Bob outlined elsewhere on these forums, these 901 carts are the correct size?

Am still new sorta 3 months or and have only used/actually seen the 510 and 808..so when I look at the online pics not always sure what am looking dimension/size wise.

Thanks again have found and have gotten great info here, found great suppliers..may not of lasted with the ecigs if not for ECF, been smoking since 13 or so, 48 now..2.5 to often 4.5 packs a day last couple years..made my own with tubes, topo-matic machine and PIIPASI tobacco...needlss to say am feeling and breathing much better overall, saving a chunk of change, mixing my own juice..and have been able to smell others that smoke last couple weeks or so..something I have not been able to notice for decades lol...man it can really stink..can only imagine the funk wafting off moi with my heavy intake..

I'm not sure from where you are ordering the DSE905. Since you refer to it as V4, my guess is Value Vapor. [In a recent post, ECF member, Deena, said she ordered the DSE905 from there sucessfully.] If so, I doubt whether the included batteries are protected. It's not specified in the description and notice the word "CAUTION" on the side of one of the batteries:

I commend you for being prudent about this! The battery type is 14500 (900 mAh). Protected versions are readily available, e.g., from MadVapes (Ultrafire, $4.79 ea) and $7 battery charger ... or DealExtreme (Trustfire, $4.73 for two) and $8.79 All-in-One Charger.

DSE901 carts are slightly larger than Tropical Bob's "Dura" (i.e., Joye 510) carts, so those chiclet-sized snus packets should fit. [NOTE: I've never tried this and know very little about it, so I can't comment on the wisdom of such use. I will say the TB is a highly respected ECF veteran.]

The relative size of the 14500 battery is shown here in this photo by ECF member, ViZi, from his e-savuke.com listing of mods website:

As for the size of the DSE905, you can get a sense of that from this video by GrimmGreen (of the V2):
