I received the SD that I mentioned before with the 901 fitting. This is my first time using the 901 attys. So far I am not impressed. The only thing that I do not know is if it is the 901,SD, or the 16340 batteries but my 510 nicostick hits much harder and produces alot more vapor than this. I have a 510 adapter on the way so I can see if the SD and batt perform better with the 510. Maybe I am spoiled with the 510 and this is just how the 901 works at 3.7v.

It will be the 901 - the rest is just a battery! The 16340 will be delivering more like 4.2v by the way. You should find the SD with the 510 adapter performs like a freshly charged standard 510 but for much longer...

Thanks guys for the info. I was hoping that there wasn't something wrong with the SD. The 901 just seems like such a weak hit compared to my 510's on other devices. I will be looking forward to getting a 510 adapter. Hell even the 801 hits better at 3.7v.

Is it a genuine 901 atomiser as opposed to the generic copy RN4075 that usually comes with the SD ?.

The original 901 runs cooler and gives less throat hit than the RN type.

Put the atomise on the SD remove the cart press the button and what do you see ?.

If the atomiser glows cherry red it is functioning correctly if it is dark or a dull glow then time to get a new one.

I was looking at the 905 yesterday and it doesn't do anything more than my nicostick. I am a heavy vaper and 2 batteries last all day and half the night. You can build your own in a couple of hours or order the box mod (if they are still available) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-forum/40440-510-901-box-mods-start-23-a.html . They come in 901 or 510. I really like anything that uses the 14500 batteries and not having to be tied to a battery charger at all times. Nicostick or 905 to me would be a great find.

I looked on the bottom of the attys that I got and they do say slb. Should I try getting some of the RN style? Is there anywhere in the US to buy them or do I have to order from bestecig? Their shipping is like $15.

searcher, I do agree about the 905 not operating better than the nicostick. I use two nicosticks every day and wouldn't trade them for anything. Sometimes it is just a matter of looks and some people don't know how to solder or anything. I built the ones I use and sold one to a member but I still am interested in trying some of the different mods. I even made a 6v flashlight mod but I still went ahead and ordered an Xhaler the other day because it will do all of the voltages and I like the way it looks.

Well, I am beginning to think that part of my problem may be batteries. The SD stopped working completely and after having a panic attack, I tried three different batts until one finally worked and the SD started working better than it had since I got it. I might try ordering some new batteries. I know at least three of the ones I got with it had never been used but they are all mixed together now so I will have to try them one at a time.

Thanks for the link older. The SD is working much better today since I got what I believe to be a good battery in it. I will most likely get some new batts. I found out that the ones that came with it were ordered about a year ago. Some were used some were not. I will definitely save the link so I can get help if I start having problems again.

Yeah, the batts don't last forever. Fresh/New, fully charged batteries do make a world of difference!

    Enjoy
