I'm having a hard time deciphering the Chinglish manual provided with the DSE601 kit. I just got the kit today and I've charged the battery, upon placing it into the e-pipe, I see that the green led blinks. I can vape from it but the blinking is getting slightly annoying and I'm concerned that it might burn out the led prematurely. When I do vape from it, the red light does glow but the blinking doesn't stop...

Am I doing something wrong?

It's a very bright green, almost yellowish. It's located to the left of the battery clasp. It's been blinking since I put the charged battery in. It vapes fine, but it still blinks even when it's red...

I e-mailed Wayne over at Heaven Gifts since I ordered this item from them. Hopefully it'll be resolved. It looks like others have had similar problems.

But I didn't put the battery upside down or anything. :-x

I really don't understand whether or not it's a code I'm not understanding or that it's defective... either way it's really preventing me from enjoying the item.

Blinking sometimes indicates the battery needs to be recharged. I know the light is supposed to turn to green as a prewarning the battery voltage has dropped, then it blinks, but not continuously. I am color-blind, so I just wait for the vapor production to decrease and the blink.

Contact the vendor about this. What you describe is not normal to my 601.

I didn't know the 601 had a green LED. Maybe I didn't get a true DSE601?

I've uploaded a video:

I charged 2 batteries until they were green on the charger. Same results, so I'm semi-convinced it's not batteries.

I've contacted Heaven Gift, this was their response:

Hi Howard,

We are very sorry to know your received a problematic e-pipe. Thanks for contacting us for it.

The e-pipe worked well during our test before shipping. It's a little bit strange that it could not work properly as soon as you received it. Anyway, we will help you solve the problem.

It seems that the problem is with the pressure switch of the e-pipe. You can try blow the e-pipe from the mouthpiece end with strength several times to retrieve the pressure switch. Please do have a try and let us know the result.

Yours sincerely,

Heaven Gifts

It's not clear to me what kind of testing they do before shipping the item, but it's clear that something's wrong with the e-pipe.

As per their suggestion, I blew on the mouthpiece a few times with no luck. The green l.e.d constantly remains blinking.

I've subsequently e-mailed them a request for their address so that I can return this and hopefully exchange it for a new one. I only got it yesterday so it should be well within the "1 year warranty" on the item. Has anyone had any experience returning items to "Heave Gift"?

Since this was my first time ordering from Heaven Gift, I'm concerned about any future business I may have with them. Hopefully, this will be handled properly, because I'm actually contemplating the purchase of the Ruyan e-pipe. But that's an item I would acquire later on down the road once I am assured that they are a reliable supplier.

Here are some additional shots of the DSE601:

One other thing that concerned me was that while the item was packed with an exorbitant amount of bubble wrap(close to 4 layers), I had ordered several other items, such as 20 m401 empty cartridges, m401 batteries & atomizers, 2 bottles of e-liquid and various other items. Everything was stuffed into the DSE601 box. I'm wondering if all the rattling that took place during shipping might have caused the problem with the DSE601.

Howard: Heavans Gifts (Ruyandirect) always skimps on packaging. That is normal to have other items you ordered stuffed into another box.

I am glad they responded to your email so quickly. Your video clip displays abnormal behavior. They were right to suspect the pressure switch as that is the damn thing that is so screwed up with standard e-cig batteries.

There wil be a cost involved for you to send back the atomizer, but it is far cheaper to do that than pitch the pipe. Go for the warranty exchange and keep up posted.

I wasn't doubting that there is a green LED, I've just never seen it in mine. Is your red LED in the same place? That looks like it's about where my red is.
It's entirely possible that I've never drained a battery to the point it would activate the green, I'll have to make an effort to not switch batteries until absolutely necessary

Thanks for clarifying some things for me. I'm aware that the return shipping is at the cost of the customer which I'm fine with. I'm just hoping that they will make things right. I'll definitely keep you all posted.

I didn't post the video + pictures to prove anything. It was merely to point out where the problem was.

I suspect that the Green L.E.D is actually duel color. While I was blowing on the mouthpiece it activated the atomizer, and I could see that the Red L.E.D turned on but it was still blinking green. Both colors lit from the same led source.

I suspect it's not a battery issue mainly because I had charged both batteries and still had the same issue. The blinking begins almost immediately after it's been attached to the battery clasp on the pipe.

Update:

I received a response from Heaven Gift basically informing me that they are sorry for the faulty item and will be airmailing me a replacement atomizer. And also that I should send them the faulty atomizer via airmail as well.

It looks like I'll have to wait another 10-15 days before I can truly use a functional DSE601. I've got my fingers crossed in hopes that the new atomizer will resolve the problem.

I have to say that while I'm a bit disappointed in the product, I can't blame Heaven Gift. They have been responsive, albeit taking 12 hrs each time to respond. And they are making an effort to resolve this issue.

I'll provide another update once I get the replacement atomizer.

Howard: I am also trying to get my 601 atomizer replaced under warranty so it is good to read about your experience with Heaven Gifts. My atomizer does not consistantly produce decent vapor and sometimes does not fire off without the knock on my desk. I have a spare atomizer due to be delivered next week so I can compare the preformance of both atomizers. I was expecting smokestack vapor like seen in asidrave's You Tube vides, but I am not seeing it.

I'm glad this thread is proving to be helpful to at least one other person.

From what I gathered, the DSE601 does have a 1 year warranty so any defects other than the LED cover, should be covered. But you'll definitely need to consult them on the best way to resolve the issue.

I'm guessing to be more cost effective, only the parts that have gone bad are replaced. I was originally planning to mail the entire DSE601 kit back but they only wanted to fault atomizer(which is understandable).

Update:

So at this point, ruyandirect.com sent me an e-mail saying that they have already shipped the new atomizer out via airmail which could take anywhere from 26-30 days(just about a month). I've also shipped out the faulty atomizer via USPS airmail. So it's basically an even exchange.

It sucks that I'll have to wait a while before I can truly test out the DSE601 but from using the faulty atomizer I can already tell that the vapes are a lot stronger and definitely higher.

Since I'm pretty much well stocked in both m401s & 510s, I'll wait for the DSE601 to arrive. After a few weeks of testing, I'll probably go ahead with getting a Ruyan e-pipe. That's if everything goes accordingly.

Sidenote*:
Apparently ruyandirect.com is currently on vacation until the 30th.
