This is my first experience with owning a PV. I've used lots of PV's that belonged to friends (all long term smokers and current PV super freaks). They have super fancy gizmos and attachments that let you see the liquid and always deliver a super full vapor puff. As a newb I bought the starter kit shown above from these guys: E-Cigarette-USA | Electric Cigarette | Electronic Cigarette Kit | e cigarettes, which is not any particular endorsement on my part, just being factual about things. The webpage is not particularly well designed and it's just a tip hard to navigate if you don't know what you're looking for.

Before I start griping about all the things I wish the 901-T did, let me just say that before I started using it, I was smoking a pack a day. Since then I've been having an average of one a day and I don't even find them that enjoyable anymore when compared to my PV experience.

So let me start with the good things:

The 901-T has an airy draw that usually delivers a good amount of vapor.

The starter kit comes in at about $50 US. My personal total was more like $70, but I purchased cartridges and e-liquid as well.

The tank cartridges are super cheap and come in a five pack. I've been getting several refills uses into each one before they need to be replaced.

The cap on the cartridges comes right off and you can just fill them directly out of a bottle. Very easy.

I get through most of the day on a well charged battery and they only take about an hour to reach full charge.

After 2 weeks, my atomizers are still working just fine and I don't have any stale or burnt taste coming through.

Now let me put out the bad things:

There is no E-Pack available for the dse901-T. You just have to carry it around with you all the time and you had better do so carefully because->

The 901-T tank/atomizer connection is unstable at best. If you hold it wrong while vaping, or you let it fall over in your pocket, or you even slightly overfill the cartridge, the 901-T leaks like a sieve. The fluid bleeds out around the base of the atomizer and you wind up with the atty/battery case covered in sticky juices.

After conferring with a friend that uses a Storm and another friend that uses the more popular 510 model, I have come to the conclusion that the 901-T is very inefficient on fluid usage. I can fill a cartridge up to 5 times a day (based on an average 16mg nicotine level of tobacco flavor blended with similar flavored e-fluids), which compared to the Storm and 501 seems a little crazy. These guys are getting through the entire day on 2 max and we are all using them steadily throughout the day. The e-fluid flavor doesn't seem to affect this rate as I have tried many over the last 2 weeks.

The cartridges only seem to be available in clear at the moment. I know this may sound a little silly to be bothered by, but the tips of the cartridges get pretty gross looking on the inside. They fill with condensation and just look nasty, which more than slightly impacts the urge to put it in your mouth.

Tips for the 901-T tank system:

When there is still fluid in the tank, try to keep the 901-T stored in such a way that the mouth piece is pointed downward. This keeps fluid in the tank and not seeping into the atty, which will let it slowly leak out around the cartridge/atty connection.

Don't keep the carb blocked with your finger. This will lead to a very quick overheat on the atomizer, which causes the tip to blink it's little overtime warning at you, and it does not help deliver any more vapor on the draw.

Don't leave the battery connected to the atty when not in use. They are in standby mode and still trickling away power.

When your tank appears empty, keep puffing about 5 to 10 times to clear the atomizer, when the vapor level drops to almost nothing the atty is cleared and ready for the next refill. This will help keep the flavors fresh.

Cleaning:

Yes, you have to clean the parts on your PV, you can't just keep putting a dirty stick in the end of your mouth all day long. It's nasty!

I find that cold water, alcohol, and a q-tip make the perfect combo for the 901-T.

Separate all the parts.

A little alcohol to the base of the battery terminal will get rid of any goo thats built up in case of leakage from the atomizer into the battery connection. Just a little swab with a moist q-tip here, you don't want to fill the battery connection with alcohol.

The atty is a little more labor intensive. After clearing it, I put a few drops of alcohol into it and wait about 5 seconds, then turn it so that the tank connection side is down and let it rest for 30 minutes. This should bleed out any residue thats built up in there. Then another little swab of the q-tip on the battery connector side of the atty and you're good.

The cartridges have a limited number of re-uses, not just because they get disgusting looking, but the little rubber cap that mates to atomizer wears out and the hole becomes worn, letting fluid leak into and out of the atty. I take the rubber cap off the atomizer side and then take the hard plastic insert out of the end of the mouthpiece and rinse all with cold water until there is no residue left from any e-fluid. The q-tip comes into play again, when you swab out the nasty mouthpiece tip with a drip of alcohol.

That's my method and it seems to be working great. Make sure to let all the parts dry thoroughly before re-use. You will definitely notice an increase in flavor and vapor after a good cleaning.

I think thats about it on the 901-T. Hope some found this helpful.
