Hi there,

I have been having a little issue with my dse901b.

I use carts and fill them with my own liquid. It seems I have to top it off with a drop or two of liquid about every 15 puffs, generally. Is that normal? If I do not, I will get a burnt plastic taste in my mouth which is just awful. And when I top off the carts, I have taken out the wool stuff and it's still pretty saturated! It's just the part on the top which has dried out. I have to be careful, it seems there is a fine line between overfilling the carts and getting nic liquid in my mouth, and being too dry and getting the burnt taste.

Any advice on my techniques?

thanks! Jenny

I had that too when I first got mine, sometimes your vapor devices need to be broken in. So if you haven't had yours for more than a few days it will start going away on its own. Also keep in mind how you are inhaling. It's not like an analog, and that's the mistake I made when I got my first ecig. You'll learn how to inhale, just remember to make it longer and steadier than a normal cig.

Some things that might help are draining your atomizer a night when you go to bed, using a new cart every day (although both of these are personal preferences). I found that for me it helped to put 1, and only 1, drop on the atomizer, then a few drops in the cart to top off.

One thing to remember is that with most minis (901, evo, peewee, etc.) the carts are much smaller than a penstyle, and therefor they don't have the capacity to hold as much liquid. A few drops in my mini is about like an analog. A full cart is about 5 analogs or so. Just keep at it, it's a different maintenance system then analogs. You'll get used to it in no time.

As the themyst says it sounds like you not giving atomiser time to catch up, If you touch the side of atomiser and it red hot you know you overdoing it! another way of telling is if the cartridge material is brown as this means you burning it, though it does discolour over time anyway but shouldn`t if it a fresh cart. (when it does go brown time for a fresh cart!) Have you tried dripping directly onto the atomiser? This would be perhaphs be a solution? Just drop 2-4 drops of liquid straight onto the atomiser coil then vape through a empty cartridge with no filling in until vapour fades then repeat (just remember give time for atomiser cool down) or another thing is perhaphs you need a higher strength nicotene juice so you don`t need as may vapes to get the kick you need?

If you like going through atomizers on a semi-frequent basis, dripping on the atomizer gives an awesome kick. I use 24mg extra high Menthol, it's acceptable, but nothing less than that works for me. I used to go through the included 18mg carts like water. I might be giving the 36mg fierce liquid a try in the near future. I am a pack-a-day Newport smoker.

sounds like your smoking too fast, and your gonna burn out your atomizer(besides smoking plastic, which cant be good). the liquid will wick its way to the atomizer if you give it a minute.this time is also necessary for cooling off.run anything hot and it will die....theres no smoking fast like a regular cig...its just different and needs some getting used to.
