Hi all , recently posted about my I-cig purchase. Was super for a month and now the battery I believe is struggling to heat the atomizer properly. Anyways as per recommendation I have just received my purchase of the riva which seems very promising initially(however I also ordered some varying strength liquids to try 11mg and 18mg which don't seem to give the same throat hit as the 24mg I have been using)

But I also have ordered the dual coil Cartomizers and don't know how to use them. Do I just drop liquid in ? Then attach?

For the most part yes fill, attach and vape, you can drop some drops in from the top then fill up the rubber condom and push the threaded end down into the juice to fill from the bottom too, see condom fill method, I use both way for the original fill then put a drip tip on the DC Carto to top it off frequently.

Dual coil cartos should not be used on a Riva, you can kill your battery that way. From what I've read they should only be used on mods that have a stronger battery than eGo or Riva. I don't want to see you ruining a brand new battery for a $2 cartomizer.

I recommend checking the website where you ordered your dual coil cartomizers, they should have a warning about using these on a smaller battery.

Drip tip is used instead of a cartridge. A cartridge holds the liquid, and the atomizer heats the liquid that is suspended in the cartridge filler. A drip tip allows you to drip 2 - 3 drops directly onto the atomizer. It takes a while to learn how much to drip, and when to drip more in. But the taste is much clearer than using a cartridge with filler. A cartomizer is combined with both the atomizer and the filler, so when you use a drip tip with a cartomizer, you can drip more into the cartomizer when you need to top off the liquid, without removing the drip tip.

How much needed to fill it? 5ml
Not even close.

I suggest you get the clears, that way you can see how the liquid is distributed inside and you'll know when you have enough liquid in them. If you see any air pockets at the bottom make sure you fill/eliminate them. These are very thirsty beasts.

I use them on my Ego everyday in and out and they work fine, the thing you just dont want to do is chain vape and get your Batt hot, give it a break in between vapes ! Ya I know it is recommended and they say not to use them on the Ego but in reality there are thousands of people using LR everything on there Ego's and thats just a fact, just don't chain vape it like I said and give it a break in between vapes not to get your Mosfet connection all heated up and you will be fine, Batts are a replaceable item just like any other Batteries in the real world, sooner or later it will die hopefully later than sooner, I have original Egos that I have been using an LR on since they first came out and there still running like new, enough said !

well thanks for the heads up there then. i imagine the problem I experienced with my i-cig (i-cig.co.uk)is the battery as the atomiser and cartridge work perfectly well in the new riva yet light on i cig only lights for a second then dies.

So thats why i ordered the riva. Happy to use the cartomisers plus juice simply in the riva and hold on the the dual coils until I get something else after a bit of rumaging around on here.

tell me this though , rather than using a drop of juice each time in the cartridge can you soak it heavily and just use it periodically??

what about the newer 1100 riva batts. Surely there are suitable / capable? If not why?
