The lower res models (1.5ohm) are not recommended by Joyetech, and my experience has been hit or miss. Had one 1000mah batt die in two months that was used exclusively with a Smoktech 1.5ohm dual coil carto... I have another that's still going strong after 6 months of the same use. I still have the first 650 mah battery I bought 18 months ago that's still chugging along that I've used all manner of stuff with. One thing is certain...time between charges WILL decrease a good bit, regardless.

The long and short is, no! Anything lower than 2.2Ω are not recommended on eGo batteries.

That being said if an individual wants to take justifiable risks in using them for "the magic" vape, then they can do so, at their own risk. It is usually the mofset that fries due to excessive current demands from the atty/carto etc... Low resistance anything was intended for use with high drain batteries IMR (Lithium Maganese) that can take the punishment. eGo batteries are not high drain.

My understanding was that for 3.7 volt batteries...such as the kGo and some knock off eGos etc.....never go below 1.5 ohm. For the Joyetech, since they run at around 3.4 volts...the 1.7ohm is fine, but it can get pretty strained at 1.5ohm. I regularly (and pretty consistently) use 2ohm EMSCC and 1.7 EMSCCs on my eGo T Mod (regulated mode), and with my Smok telescope...no problems. I don't use the 1.5 EMDCCs on anything but the telescope or VV....but sometimes do on the kGo when I use it.

I generally like vape between 5.8 and 8.4 watts...no higher! I don't like the taste of burnt asphalt! bwahahahaha!!!

I use eGo Mega Dual Coils (1.7Ohm) with eGo Twist for months. Never had a problem, just don't set voltage too high. I personally prefer 3.8V. Of course, any 2.5-3V would be OK with Twists, as you always can set proper voltage for them. The difference between single and dual coils is that dual coils are in fact two coils working in parallel. So 1.7Ohm dual coil is in fact two 3.4ohm coils in parallel, so producing (in theory) twice more vapor than single 3.4Ohm.
