Burnt hit means your settings are to high, your liquid is not wicking properly or maybe the insulator is roasted.

We need more details. What settings have you tried, what juice are you using? Also a + or - .3 is not surprising on premade coils. 2.4 would not be why it tastes burnt and it does not indicate that one of the two parallel coils has gone kaput.

Are you in variable wattage mode? If one coil is broken, your APV will double the wattage hitting the remaining coil, leading to burnt taste.

Not if it is reading 2.4Ohms. Dual coils work in parallel, two 4.2 coils have a final outcome of 2.1. OP would be in the 4s for ohm readings if one coil toasted out.

Not going to hurt anything by changing out the coil. Try that first. First few worked fine? How many are you going through? Mine seem to last awhile.

I don't know if you're into rebuilding your own coils or not, but there are a couple of videos on rebuilding the aerotank. It's not terribly difficult. Of course I say that, I'm still trying to get one at a good ohm for me. Built one yesterday that came out at .5 ohms. Not quite what I was shooting for. Not a lot of room to work with in that little coil area. Being able to use cotton is nice, but that's a bit warm for me. Back to practice practice practice for me.

And yes, check to make sure your insulator isn't burnt.

That's a high setting depending on the juice, but you did say you had it on that setting before with no issues. Changing the coil didn't work? Otherwise I would have tried to dry burn your coils. Check to see if they are gunked up. Some darker thicker juices will stick to and gunk up your coils giving you that burnt taste.

Yikes 12 watts is high, I suspect this is the issue. I stay 6.5-7 on single coils and MAYBE up to 9 on dual coils...I have never found any clearo with factory made coils that was tasty with any juice at this level. Now, if one coil had popped in your last head, you would have had a single 4+ ohm coil running which could explain the setting possibly. *shrug*

My guess is if you back down to 8-9 watts the burning taste will go away. Give it a try and let us know what happens...

No juice change. Max VG liquid. Like I said, it tasted spectacular before at 15 watts. Always at 15 watts. Gives me the perfect lung hit and throat hit. Never had a problem. I did try it at 9 watts. Still burnt taste. less vapor, same taste. This coil is literally right out of the box my aerotank came in. Never used. I really don't understand. I've never once had this problem. I checked my insulator, looks fine, new. o_O I also hear no crackling sound when I take a big draw, nothing.
