Yes you can drill another hole directly across the other if you want, or you can "stack coils" if you wish. If you stack coils you won't need to drill another hole, although you may or may not want to enlarge the hole you already have.

Usually means your coils are not the same ohm!

they same # wraps same 1/16 bit they read the same on meter

It's important to keep the legs the same length as this will effect the ohms and thus heat up time.

so clipping extra off after install should be equal as well?

I didnt notice pre use. they seemed equal but after a day
easy to tell one was getting hotter than the other...
