Dual coil RM2 or Cyclone

Is there a tutorial to achieving this? Or should I just drill a hole directly across from the other and go to town

Yes you can drill another hole directly across the other if you want, or you can "stack coils" if you wish. If you stack coils you won't need to drill another hole, although you may or may not want to enlarge the hole you already have.

It's a little tight, but yes you can, I have dual coils in 3 of my rm2s.

So you leave the leads on one coil a bit longer, extend it out a bit further than the other, and the leads can touch within the posts? What size coils please?

I use a 1/16th size drill bit to wrap around which I think is as big as you can go and be considered a Micro coil, I did 7 wraps I remember and the hole on the cap of the RM2 is also 1/16th

You can also make parallel coils. Take two strands of wire (instead of one) and wrap your Coil. They look just like a normal coil, but are extra long.

Also not sure if any reo people have tried the method using 1 strand of wire to make duel coils make the first coil with 1 really long lead. Insert it then take the really long lead and do your wraps with it right on the rba deck then stick the last lead through

I just tried out the dual stack build and it seems to work very well! Running at .55 and getting a nice thick vape! I do not understand the method of using one piece of wire to make 2 coils though...I agree tutorials for this would be nice!

Usually means your coils are not the same ohm!

Usually means your coils are not the same ohm!

It's important to keep the legs the same length as this will effect the ohms and thus heat up time.

they same # wraps same 1/16 bit they read the same on meter

so clipping extra off after install should be equal as well?

I didnt notice pre use. they seemed equal but after a day
easy to tell one was getting hotter than the other...

length from screw post to screw post is what matters, the ends after the screw have no effect.
