I've been using the totally wicked 3.5ml tank with their pre-drilled dual coil cartos but I'm finding that if I don't regularly top the carto off that I'm getting a burnt taste. I'm a new and lazy vaper and would prefer not to top off at all. I'm thinking that with the dual coil cartos that the top coil will require topping off, and that a single coil will be fed more easily by the holes alone.

What are your thoughts on this? Can you recommend any UK suppliers at good prices? Totally wicked are charging £2.99 for two cartos but they don't seem to do single coil models. Should I stick with low resistance if I'm thinking of switching to single coil?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know if the fact that it's dual-coil is the issue or not. But, the pre-punched single coils are becoming more common because dual-coils are really hard on Ego batteries.

I use SC 2.0ohm pre-punched cartos in my tanks. I know MadVapes and Liberty Flights both have them. I've seen them a few other places, just can't remember where off hand. And, Liberty Flights has a UK branch.

No carto can vape faster than it can wick. You may be able to resolve your problem by simply adding one or two drops of distilled water to your e-liquid.
DCC are known to be hard to get the holes just right, to small and they don't wick, to large and they leak. If the e-liquid is to thin they leak, to thick and they don't wick. You just need to fiddle with them until you get the right combination.

If don't really know why anyone would use a dual coil. I've never had good luck with them in terms of wicking. I know you are in the UK but Hoosier ecigs sells pre-punched cartos of either single or dual coil variety with 1, 2 or 3 pre-punched holes. 2 holes is perfect for a 50/50 juice to me. The one hole works nice with a 70pg/30vg ratio.

I dual punch single coil Ikenvape gold cartos for use in tanks. If I need longer cartos I double punch their Renew cartos I use a saddle valve to punch the holes and stop as soon as they pop. Only dual coil I use anymore are the dual coil atomizers from COV.

With a dual coil you can suck the fluid away from the top coil if you hit it fast and hard, a single coil doesn't seem to suffer from that issue.
